Emery hasn't played in 2 months

Hawks are going to let Crawford finish this thing

Worst game of season for him ,, Hopefully he gets back on track

How do you know that?

Even if you want to say "it is probable," it isn't like Toews was Adam Burish or even Niklas Hjalmarsson. Toews was the Conn Smythe winner and their captain. Replacing him with a guy like Thornton creates too many variables.

The certainty in your statement is eybrow-raising. If you are so certain that you can predict the outcome of such a major change, why ever play the games?.

He was the Conn Smythe winner only because they refused to give it to Pronger. He did nothing particularly special.

Your taking that entirely the wrong way. My point was that that Hawks team was super stacked. And Thornton and Marleau were both better players than Toews that year. If either of those latter two every had the supporting cast that Toews did, they'd also have won the Cup.

1.3PPG is pretty special. Him and Kane were the only PPG+ players. Sharp was third at .79PPG.

Be my guest. I think it's a huge problem with the game that games and eventually series are decided on random plays when 10x better plays are actually made.

Dude, hockey has been, and always will be, a random sport. That's why some of us like it.

It's not a problem at all.

But most of Toews points came in the first two rounds. I'm pretty sure he only had 2 maybe 3 points in the finals. Kane should have won the conn Smythe. Even after he won it he had this look of guilt and might have mouthed that he didn't deserve it. I'm sure it can be found on YouTube somewhere.

He was consistent thru the first three rounds but only had 3 points in 6 games in the finals. I do agree that Kane should've won. He had 8 points in the finals.

I would probably say that yes, Thornton and Marleau are > Toews and Kane. But Toews and Kane, that year, had 1.3ppg in the playoffs, among other things. That is an incredibly hard thing to do. They achieved that. Thornton and Marleau have never done that. That achievement is a significant feather in their respective caps!

Patty has hit 1.27 ppg before. Thornton has only hit 1.0 ppg. Maybe he really is chocker!

So if Chicago wins, does Dale Tallon get his name on the cup again? He probably should.
