NHL All Rookie Team - Schultz in, no Yak

As the final slap in the face, Yakupov left off the All-Rookie team. What a joke.

Nice to see Schultz get the nod but too bad for Yak...no love from the MSM or whoever decides these things.

Mods feel free to move this is there is a current appropriate thread.

It's just funny at this point. So many people will be eating crow when they see what Yak can do.

HE LEAD ALL ROOKIES IN SCORING. They an "make up" reasons for other guys to be nominated for the Calder, but Not on the All-Rookie team? That's just braindead.

Meh, not surprised, and not really concerned. I care more about results than accolades.

I'm indifferent. Hall wasn't even on the all rookie team IIRC and he turned out to be one of the best in the league now.

The voters are probably boomers who still hate the Oilers from the 80's.

I am not upset, I just think it is funny how overlooked the rookie scoring leader was this season according to "those in the know".

Oh and congrats to Schultz.

lol Yakupov getting snubbed all over the place. Jesus. Kid scored at a ~30 goal pace as an 18/19 year old. Guess people were expecting him to be Ovechkin.

What a joke. 5 years from now Gallagher and Saad will be lucky if Yakupov lets them carry his bags.

I don't anticipate a big sophomore slump for this kid... I think he's got something to prove this year after being completely brushed off all these times

Uh, congratulations to Justin Schultz!! AHL Defenceman of the year and now an All-Rookie! Once again, thanks for picking us, and hope to see you get on that first All-Star team sooner than later. Paul Coffey style.

I really Couldn't care less about these Hallmarks, but it's pretty insulting to Yak. Oh well, good for J Schultz.

Saad won a cup and played 23 playoff games. I have a feeling his contributions in the playoffs put him on that team above Yakupov.

well, i'd think it's only logical after he was left out of top-3 in Calder voting... not that i think the fact that he was left out is logical at all though.

Yak will be the best rookie out of all of them. He is too dedicated to the game not to be.

Yak is the type of guy who will only be more motivated by this. The haters won't get him down.

The rookie points leader(tie) had made the All Rookie Team every single year it's been announced since 1982-83. Not this year. #yakupov
