I will mention my top 5 personal targets for each pick, though. These have changed a lot over the past few weeks/months, as I'm sure all of your lists have.

I'm only going to list players who I believe have a chance at being available at the specific selection. So if I'm missing someone obvious, chances are I don't think they will be available.

These are also in no specific order.

25th:

Michael McCarron
Ryan Hartman
Andre Burakovsky
Robert Hagg
Anthony Mantha

34th/36th: (going to count this as 1 pick, since they're so close together)

Valentin Zykov
Justin Bailey
Emile Poirier
Morgan Klimchuk
Laurent Dauphin

55th:

Artturi Lekhonen
Zach Nastasiuk
Nick Baptiste
John Hayden
Jacob De la Rose (I question the offensive upside, but as a late 2nd rounder, I'd take the chance)

71st:

Tristan Jarry
Jonathan Diaby
Oliver Bjorkstrand (may be wishful thinking)
Ryan Kujawinski
Michael Downing
*I also like Jordan Subban at this spot, but he may not last this far.

86th:

Remi Elie
Gustav Olofsson
Viktor Arvidsson (I really like the thought of drafting him, although I admit 86 may be too early)
Philippe Desrosiers
Peter Cehlárik (I'm starting to think he will be snapped up earlier, but I have seen some mocks where he's taken in this range.

I'll finish the rest of the rounds later. Supper is ready.
Congrats on the house!

You say they are in no specific order but I think you put your first choices first.

25-McCarron
34-Zykov
36-Bailey
55-Lehkonen
71-Jarry
86-Elie

That would be a nice draft haul.

If the habs took Furcale at #34 or #36 I would be happy. Wouldn't want them to nab him at 25...then again, if T.T. is convinced that he is worthy of it, I guess I won't be too upset. I learn my lesson when I was pissed at T.T. and B.G, for taking Price instead of Brule.

I agree with going for mostly forwards, except that we need a guy like Morin more than anything, imo. Every year its the same issues with the habs, clearing the crease, not being physical enough, etc.,. If you can get a guy who has all those attributes and can skate and move the puck well, i think it's no brainer to take him.

I know it's a silly mentality to approach a draft with, but as a fan, count me in for hoping for 2 forwards and 1 D. Ideally all three have size, with one rugged forward, one offensive dynamo forward, and a two way D type.

25. Rychel/Burakowsky
34. Bowey/Hagg/Mueller/McCoshen
36. Petan/Buchnevic/Klimchuk/Poirier OR McCarron/De La Rose/Dickinson

Good list, we have a lot of players in common. I'll post my list in a few, although it's nothing close to final at this point.

The team needs more defencemen. All I see in the system for "sure things" are situational defencemen (Tinordi - defence, Beaulieu - offence). Ellis and Dietz should make it but at what capacity? Like WTK said, the Habs need a minute eater.

I like these "Scout Series" article on the Future Considerations site. Their Midwestern USA scout has interesting comment about Tommy Vannelli, who he named as his disappointment:

If the Habs draft a d-man in round 1 it shouldn't be for NEED, he should be the clear cut BPA by a notch. Same for a goalie.

On defense we have a mix of depth, size, skill and physicality among the prospect group.

All things being equal, a lot of the top 6 picks in the draft should be forward with 1 goalie and 1 d-man.

Interesting. But reports for him are all over the place though. Tons of raving reports despite those struggles.

I do have to say though that he's RIGHT ON for Andrew Copp. This kid has to be a big time riser. I had him in my top 5 for 3rd 2nd pick.....way too late. If we want him, our 2nd round pick...and it might even be too late.

I'd love for him to be on our radar.

Great lists boys. Somehow this year, to be wrong, we will need to REALLY do an effort to be stupid. Almost every player is intriguing and interesting.

Good call Marc on who the faller could be. Erne could very well be it. In the end, they might find he doesn't have 1 incredible quality but a lot of good ones...

on par i would say

Zykov made some good strides with his skating over the course of the year, less worry about his skating now that i was in September/October. Still at best he's an average skater.

Rychel is average as well, didn't see much improvement from last year, although i had more viewings of Zykov than him this year.

are you calling Morin an offense first D-man ? (i probably mis-understood your post)

heard he didn't do well in interviews at the combine and also character question marks this year from some scouts after his "non" suspension. He's been in my top15 since last year from what i see on the ice, can't judge the off ice (interviews/ character/conditionning) from first hand, only "hear say"

I always thought Tinordi would become that minute eating D

Yeah I guess he'd be playing a lot of minutes but he'd have to be paired with a puck mover, he's pretty limited in that regard. I don't see him being an anchor for a pairing.

Either way, it never hurts to have defencemen ready to step in.

Him and Subban as a top pair is how I think it ends up. He compliments Subban perfectly, allows PK to play aggressively.

A guy who can anchor the second pairing is needed though.

A physical D who is skilled is as much a need as a power forward. That said, I'd have no qualms about getting Morin at 25 -- I just hope he falls to us.

A look at the "consensus" rankings updated on June 6th, combining the projections from TSN, McKeen's, Hockey Prospect, Future Consideration, Craig Button, ISS and The Hockey Guys, has Morin and Rychel tied at 24th. Geez, does anything ever come easy to us. Saving grace is that nothing is cast in stone when it comes to rankings in our draft tier. We shall see.

Erne would be a great pickup at 25. Good blend of speed, size, skill and physicality. I have a feeling he won't fall to us, however.

I'd love for Zykov to slip.

I guess I'll do a proper wishlishlist:

#25
1. Zykov
2. Mantha
3. Rychel/Burakowsky
4. Burakowsky/Rychel
5. Erne

#34/#36
Top 8 D
1. Bowey
2. Morin
3. Mueller
4. Hagg
5. Santini
6. McCoshen
7. Heatherington
8. Shea Theodore

Top 8 F (Not in a set order, really hard to rank these guys, and think there's a star somewhere on this list. Petan would be the best bet IMO)
1. Petan
2. Buchnevich
3. Klimchuk
4. Poirier
5. Dickinson
6. McCarron
7. de la Rose
8. Bailey

I'm giving my picks with a little influence from Grant, Bergevin and Timmins here;

#25 - McCarron/Morin
#34 - Bailey
#36 - Hurley/Compher - Dauphin if there.
#55 & #85 = #48 - Diaby
#71 - Sanford/Moutrey/Hayden - Happy with any of them/if Habs go for a goalie Juuse Saros
#175 - Tyler Hill - My KO - pick
#205 - Liam Coughlin - TT's sleeper

These picks should make a difference when the Habs play teams in their Div. like Ott. Bos. Tor. etc, Tired of watching teams get ahead on the scoreboard and then beatiing our players like stubborn mules.
