Great deal for Preds.

I could have sworn he was signed for four years a couple of weeks ago, but I guess it wasn't final.

Wow, huge contract. They're expecting big things out of him in the coming years, judging how it's structured. He'll be expected to get even better as he continues to develop and eventually hits his prime.

I'm surprised he took that long of a contract. Good deal for the Predators.

He's already our number 2 defenseman, and looked absolutely fantastic with Weber last season. The defense on the whole took a hit because we had no one to play with Klein, but the top pairing was better than we could have hoped with Suter leaving.

The AAV of 4 million is insanely friendly to the Predators. Josi is already very good, and is just going to keep getting better.

Good deal for both parties - Nashville more so than Josi (don't know why he'd take 7 years knowing he could cash in again in a shorter period of time)

That's a fantastic contract.

I think he's already a near 4 M player.

Wow, huge deal. As a leafs fan I now cringe to think what Cody Franson's agent must be thinking.

Great deal for both sides. Preds lock up what should to be another anchor for their blueline along with Weber for the foreseeable future. Congrats.

They're not at all comparable. Josi is already a legit top pairing defenseman. Franson is a third pairing d-man that's 3 years older.

That he'll get no where near $4 mil a year?

Awesome deal. Great to have him with Weber for the next 7 years at only $4 mil per.

Good deal, Josi is the goods. Hmm, Travis Hamonic's agent should be taking notes.

Terrific player.

Weber/Josi/Rinne are terrific building blocks.

Barkov/Drouin will add to it. Still need some offense but future looks bright.
