Sorta off topic, but I still can't wrap my head around the fall of Romero

IMO, they'll attempt the same thing with Brad Lincoln (in buffalo)
Doing that with Lincoln is a big mistake and I don't know why the Jays are doing it.

i'm going to assume that was the plan all along..or would we have traded a player with potental (well atleast at the time) in snider for a reliever?

Wow, just looked at the scedule. After this one, we have 10 games against AL East opponents. Obviously I dont expect them to keep this streak going, but what do you guys think we need/should go in those 10 games? I think we need to go 6-4 or 7-3. The series against the Rays is going to be huge, considering how close we are to them. We could potentially pass them.

He's got the stuff, 4 pitches, plus fastball, and is a bull dog. The organization has a plan for him, even if the majority of fans do not.

A winning record would be nice, .500 wouldn't cut it.

Also, the Yankees lineup haha, it's awful! We have to keep winning to take advantage of that.

I'd be very pleased going 7-3. 5-5 simply isn't good enough. I don't think we play the Yankees which is good and no Tillman this weekend who has been very good for the O's

i dont want to get our expectations too high but realistically i could see us going 5-5 and with that I would not be too dissapointed, these are very difficult teams to beat, i think with the division we are in all the other teams aside from the bluejays should be .500 against each other, and then its the team that beats up on the other teams outside of the division the most that will finish ahead, we will probably go 3-3 vs bal and tb and then split in fenway..its the yankees when we play in aug and sep that we will need to beat up on in order to balance things out

Does anyone know who the probable SPs are for the Os this weekend?

Looks like we'll have Dickey, Wang and Johnson which should provide us with at least 2 good matchups

Garcia (3-4) vs Dickey (6-8)
Gonzalez (5-2) vs Wang (1-0)
Hammel (7-4) vs Johnson (0-2)

Difficult to improve that record when they haven't played an AL East opponent in over 3 weeks. It took the biggest hit in the first month. Should stabilize in the next couple of weeks before the ASG, one would hope anyway.

And we are 1-8 against the yankees which is mind blowing, I don't know why we suck against them. If we won those series or one series at least we could be at .500 by now

We usually do well against the yanks, they just had our number this year in april. The next series against them should be a good one.

11-12 against Tampa, Os, Sox. It's just the Yankees.

Reyes will be back sometime during these games which should be a boost. A 10 game stretch is a long stretch so I'd be disappointed if we win less than 6. Any more than 6 and I'd be very pleased. I think we'll go 6-4. But I'd really want a 7-3 record. That would be great

Thanks. Hammel has an ERA over 5 and a WHIP of 1.49 so is lucky to be 7-4.

Garcia has a 4.89 ERA. His WHIP isn't too bad, 1.23.

Those 2 are definitely winnable games.

Tillman has been great for them but pitched today.
