no its not.

people need to realize the two players that have no shot in hell at going anywhere are stamkos and hedman. just get it out of your heads. they're the core we are building around for the future and we just bought out lecavalier to ensure that future is stable, so why the hell would we trade either one of them?

it doesn't even make any sense.

The logic could be that the Avs want to effectively trade Seth Jones and Erik Johnson for Victor Hedman and the 3rd overall pick.

The only reason to move to first would be to get Jones.

This would assume Steve soured on Hedman somehow, and I just don't see it.

To go back on the Boston stuff though, I wonder if Connolly and the 33rd would drum up interest.

Stamkos... lol

If we're not pushing for Letang then there's only one thing to do:
1. Keep calm and draft Barkov.

I don't want Letang. Not the way he has played as of late, and especially not at that price point.

Clearing room for Stamkos! Or the 3rd and MSL!

They need a new source of drinking water up there, I think there may be a serious problem.

Correct me if i'm erong but During the playoffs i thought Boston fans crucified him for not showing up. But I guess that since he is tied for the lead in offseason scoring his stock has risen.

Brave but not too bright.

And even less intelligent now since that thread killed off quite a few of my remaining brain cells.

If Tampa is looking for Jones as a pick, they just might have him at #3 but I would be happy in Drouin-he's a natural goal scorer if he were to fall/stay put at #3. Seguin can stay a Bostonian as far as I am concerned, way to high of a contract kicking in for potential results.

Go read what pens fans have turned down IF they were to trade Letang. This is a pens fan's view of what it will take to trade for Kris Letang. This is not a joke (well...not a joke that it happened. It is a joke that "this is Letang's value"):

top 6 forward
top 4 defensemen
1st round pick
Prospect ( how good depending on where in the 1st round the pick is )

That should eliminate any remaining brain cells.

I've decided the only response to all the rumors is to remain blackout drunk until approximately 2pm tomorrow. Godspeed.

I believe that may have stemmed from a tweet earlier in the day about it being the package offered by the Leafs for Letang, but was turned down.

I can't find the tweet, but I don't recall ever hearing of the writer, and the account had a relatively small number of followers.

For all talk Yzerman makes of getting young, cheap talent, trading No. 3 pick for Seguin & $5 mil salary seems a bit odd, IMHO
Quote:
One would think, with the cap space freed up, it might be better spent on the blue line? Just my opinion. Hard to think the give up 3rd pick
From EE.. is he just talking speculation or did something happen that I don't know?
