He's probably saying that he stubbed his toe and he's holding the offensive line responsible. he'll be yelling at them by 9:00.

Hervey and Reed are probably in the top for worse guests on local radio.

They have voices that should be used for bedtime recordings of kids books.

so nothing on the injury status of Stamps and Howard I take it?

Btw why did we sign Howard if we knew he wasn't going to be able to play all 18 games?

Sounds like they have both practiced this week.

I cannot take another gong show of a football game this week. I better see some improvement from the players and some good play calls. Last week just about did me in.

I really hope that the rain shrunk most of the playbook. It's not like we have the worst QB in the world nor the worst receivers. (bad OLine still though)

Kavis' act is wearing thin on me

he's all "fire and brimstone" yet when it comes to execution, his players are the worst in the league

Yes, its outdated. I believe its 13yrs old.

They can no longer obtain parts for the currrent board. If theres a breakdown on the jumbotron it may not be able to be fixed. This could mean a whole season or year without a jumbotron. With the FIFA womens WC approaching they want a new jumbotron to modernize the facility plus to avoid the forementioned potential embarassment of not having one at all.

That's about it.

He said they know they have the talent to make the playoffs. I believe that, but my questions would be...OK, why then is the team so bad, and what are the missing ingredients?

I like Kavis. I've spent time with him and think he's a good fellow. I just don't know if he's a good head man. I'm giving them all this season and if the result is the same, then will throw many of them under the bus. Not all of the players, but management.

I remember when the scoreboard was brand new and looked awesome. Not so much today. I'd love a huge, modern scoreboard at the south end of the stadium.

lol that Mandel inferred the Esks should pay for it at the same time as taking out 540M for a new Oilers arena.

I had to do a doublethink eyeroll squint with that one.

The scoreboard was malfunctioning at times during the game on Saturday. Appropriate considering the garbage product on the field.

Yeah it was brutal. Thankfully there was no epileptic fans at that game.

Could have something to do with the torrential downpour? I dunno, just saying.

My friend who works at Epcor pointed it out to me and said that the scoreboard has been plagued with problems ever since it's installation.

Kavis wasn't going to get fired early in the season no matter what. A 1 year extension shows the team was willing to back him for the time being. But if the team is 2-8 in September (or 3-7, or something similar) and continues to be embarrassed on the field, I'd bet that Kavis won't be around.
It's the timing. It would be totally different if the one year extension came in February.

Reed was already on the hotseat coming into the season, and the temperature got cranked up again during the season opening disaster. Hervey then came out and gave all the fans the middle finger, essentially telling us all that Kavis is the guy and he's not getting fired anytime soon.

Even if he is eventually turfed if we get to 2-8, it's too late and the season is already a write off. This week's game should be Kavis Reed coaching for his job. But with the ink barely dry on his extension, that's clearly not the case.

So why didn't they get them to fix it? I have to think you don't just install a scoreboard and then leave the country.

I think the extension means he is signed for next year too. Hervey should have been evaluating him at the end of this season. Where was Kavis going to go?

the best thing that happened to Ray.
He got to get out from under the worst management in the league, and away from questionable coaching, too.

no suprise he's back to being the old ricky ray.

With how close Kavis & Eric were, i can't help but think that Kavis was instrumental in getting Ricky Ray traded.
