WPG Patrice Cormier

Will he be a solid 4th or 3rd line C in the NHL or is he a fringe player?

How is his skating? I haven't seen much of him lately. always like the edge he has to his game, and his size.

Thanks

He's good on face offs and plays physical. His skating is decent, nothing special. I think he'll be a good 4th line C. The Jets currently have Jim Slater in that role, but I think he'll be given an opportunity to make the roster in training camp.

Pretty much he'll never be more than a 4th liner.

He wasn't the main piece for Kovalchuk. He was a solid prospect at the time. The deal was a quantity for quality deal.

Totally forgot about Bergfors, he looked awesome with NJ that year. And Cormier was a big piece in the deal, he was supposed to be more than a 3rd line center...which right now is even looking like a stretch. He is a bust...

He was never projected to be more than a good 3rd line C. He just doesn't have the offence to play in the top 6. I'm not disagreeing that he hasn't reached his full potential, but at least get the facts straight. You've made up 2 things so far in this thread.

BTW are you going to at least add something to this thread?

Well just agree to disagree on his potential when the deal was struck. Carry on please
