Cheap land, big space not being used by much of anything right now.. big win.

I'd expect something similar in Bellevue before it's all said and done.

(to clarify: that's not insider knowledge or anything, purely speculation)

Maybe after north of town gets something first. It would be cool to target three spots for ice, east(hermitage/mt. Juliet), north(Hendersonville) and west(Bellevue). I think Franklin/Brentwood and downtown Nashville could use another sheet or two as well.

The reason I think it would get supported is all the Preds swag I see around town. Everywhere I go I see something preds related or someone says to me nice hat which is a Preds hat. I think this town has bought in to the team fully. Now if the NHL grants us an all-star game we are in serious business.

I live out that way, and my sister just bought a town home on Sawyer Brown. In her realtor's paperwork about the area there was a report about plans to put a new facility at the Bellevue Mall location. So, while I'm happy to see more ice in town, I'm bummed it's not closer to me. The prospect of living five miles from a Preds practice facility was pretty tantalizing.
