Hartnell

Would like to move him! Just don't like him a decent player but think the Flyers can do better. Who are the 10 teams he has on his list to go to? Rather have Read

If we could get a player of equal goal production I would love to trade him since he's annually a leader in minor penalties (which is a bad thing) but you rarely get equal value in trades. His goal production is vitally important to the Flyers and he's one of our few close to sure-fire 30 goal scorers in a healthy season. Kind of need him.

you want to ship out one of the more under rated players in the league and a locker room glue guy because he was injured last season and had a down year?

hartnell is an important piece on this team, he's likely not going anywhere unless it's a considerable overpayment.

Beaulieu would likely be the only thing from the Habs that would get the Flyers interested.

In the insane scenario of him being traded, they'd want something of equal value in terms of goal-scoring unless they're completely out of it like this last season.

So I imagine Pacioretty would have to come back since they don't really have any other major goal-scorers from what I can remember. Not saying they would deal him, but the Flyers would need something like that back if they were still in the race.

Bieksa for Hartnell. Similar cap hits, fits a need for both teams.

The Flyers management seems to have a lot of trust/loyalty to Hartnell. Plenty of players have been moved out during his time here and plenty of others have been rumored to be moved. Never with Hartnell though. Sure, he can be frustrating at times, but not many players can bring the type of game he can while putting up 25+ goals and 55-60 points. By all accounts he is a great leader and well respected in the locker room. No need to move him yet.

Briere, Pronger on LTIR, and possibly a defenseman being moved with the Streit trade. Perhaps Meszaros.

No...not bad but no way I do this trade. With Streit our defense is fine.

Hartnell has a NTC and besides people saying his contract is an albatross, its really not a bad deal. Its a bery reasonabke cap hit and he took a discount, all the more proof hes less likely to waive his NTC. Hartnell is the least likely player to be traded besides Giroux and Timonen.

Have you seen Hartnell's contract? It could turn ugly real soon.

Maybe if the Flyers retained a bit of salary. Not sure if they'd be willing to do that, though.

Thats why I said with Streit, not "now with Streit". I should have been more clear, but he wont be signed until the buyout period when we free up our cap space from Bryz and Briere

Hartnell had a broken foot and a bad half season, but if he's healthy he should be a 50 point player. If he has a bad 82 game season then the Flyers will have to look at moving him.

For a guy with Kesler in his username, you should know how injuries derail seasons. Hartnell will be fine next year. He broke his ankle in the 3rd game of the year and was rushed back.

I'd love Hartnell on the Sens' roster but the length of his contract is a big concern given he's 31 now and I'm not convinced he will maintain his play as he closes in on 35 and beyond.

If the Flyers are more concerned with shedding some salaries than with the return, I'd offer Smith and a draft pick but nothing more.

Oh my god that is awful. I see your reasoning about age, but that is an insulting offer.
