That said, don't see how we could give him another year at the salary he deserves given our cap situation/young players we have. Good guy, though.
Good for you- you return to one if my favorite posters and your candor and honesty get an A from me. Agree as much as I like him it's time to move on maybe another place and time but considering where this team is they need to go younger cheaper and more D with playmaking ability on the back end

No it won't (and he has two). He's a Bruin forever, no matter where he goes.

Who gets his letter? I'd give it to Paille.

He shared it with Kelly, so I'm guessing that he'll keep it unless he's gone too....

Gonna miss this total class act team guy. When he rode his bike around and brought The Cup to the people, in their neighborhoods, I thought he is a Bruin for life. Will always have a special spot for Andy. Best Wishes wherever you land!

Kelly goes nowhere.

With Ference leaving, if Kelly somehow goes that's a serious blow to the character and leadership in that locker room. That's not a void that would be easily filled, despite the general good guys that populate that roster.

Andy, I'll never forget the Montreal "Salute"! One of the best memories of the Cup run.
Best of luck, your leadership and humanitarianism will be missed.

#21 will live forever in the hearts of Bruins fans everywhere for his single digit salute to the Hated Habs & their fans

Good luck Andrew!

Ference and his finger supplied me with one of my most memorable days as a Bruins fan.

Thanks Andy

Sad to see Andy go. He is a warrior. Guy is always willing to go with anyone to stick up for a teammate.

Ference is a guy that really grew on me. Always thought he was too small and I hated him on the point on the PP, but he was a warrior and a true Bruin that wouldn't hesitate to stick up for his mates.

He's probably the true little ball of hate on the B's.

Good luck AF.

Ference was one of the guys we acquired who began to turn it around in the room. The jackets passed among the players, the chain from last year, that was all him as far as I know. That dude would drop his gloves way out of his weight class in order to square someone.

I'm sorry to see him go. Ference is going to be missed.

I hope when his career is over he makes Boston his home. B's fans will always have special place in their heart for #21 and the official montreal salute.

<,|,, !!! Forever!

While many here will tell you the NTC is not the end all and be all and that people have moved despite having one....yes, Kelly has a No-Trade Clause. He also has no good reason to waive it.

He's not going anywhere.

In fact, with Ference now gone, I think I've anointed him my new favorite Bruin. Two guys really cut from the same cloth.

Ference was a good Bruin. It's too bad. I hate the hard salary cap. On the other hand I am glad we have 3 rookies ready to go.

I'll say goodbye for now but unless he is completely toast I think he'll be back as a depth rental (ala Hnidy/Redden) after he gets one more good contract.

That would be a very, very smart move for them. Guys like Ference are exactly what they need.

Sad to see him go. It's just too bad we couldn't send him out with a second cup.

Coupled with a run straight to the Cup, that moment cemented him into Bruins history.

I'm a little more upset about him not returning the more time I have to think about it, and I've never had this feeling. I'm like a confused 14 year old boy who's girlfriend just moved across the country
