The Ducks were awesome. If you liked the movie Slapshot(based loosely on John Brophy and the Ducks) you would have loved seeing them play in the barn like Commack Arena where the county police once had to mobilize all available units to break up a fight during the pre-game skate.
What player is on your Jersey?

I make a habit of staring/screaming at the Rangers game in our living room.

Took him to several games last season as well

I joined his team and during my first game I juked a guy out of his skates on the rush and he fell on his ass. Obviously not pleased about being embarrassed by a kid, he took it upon himself to lay me out on my next shift while I took a pass in my skates (even though it was a no-hit league). I remember lifting my head up from the ground just in time to see my 51 year old Dad leap over the boards and start beating the hell out of the guy. It was one of those moments where you really get to see how much your Dad cares about you, even though he might have his own way of showing it.

Little late, but I love ya, Pop.
My god that is awesome.

Pretty late, but I haven't been on HF.

My dad was a big-time North Stars fan. Took me to damn near every home game. I remember going to 2 Finals games as a kid, it really helped my own play. I wouldn't have made my HS team if I hadn't been watching hockey for years. My family was heartbroken when the Stars left. I didn't follow hockey for awhile, but then I moved to New York and attached myself to the Rangers.

I have no kids, too young, but I did spend Father's Day with my older brother and his 7-year old son. He got an autographed Hank jersey from his uncle Kris. (Not my real name)
