I would like to say that SOTW Wheeler is basically SC Nash but is also a great PKer.

Highly recommended.

Marleau TOTY - Marchand SC - Pominville
Gagne - Richards - Carter
Ladd - Antropov - Wheeler
Prust - Stoll - Callahan

Markov - Subban
Alzner - Greene
Timonen - Coburn

Nabokov - Bobrovsky

After my first line, no really special players. I'd really like to get some scoring depth and a strong defender. After my first and second line I get very little production
Pick up Antoine Vermette (PHX) whos a solid TWF for your 3rd or 4th line. He's an amazing penalty killer, solid on faceoffs and can do pretty much anything. Plus, he's cheap.

Been working on my lineup lately

SOTW Selanne- SOTW Lecav- SOTW Benn
SOTW Moulson - SC M.Koivu - SC Backes
SOTW Steen - Filppula - SOTW Peverley
Krejci - Stastny - Ryder

SOTW Chara - SOTW Streit
Hedman - Kulikov
Timonen - Pitkanen

Lehtonen

Just a few thoughts in case anyones ever been curious about some of these guys...

The SOTW Benn, Lecav, and Selanne line is awesome. Everyone can shoot really well, and they can really nail people (except Selanne).

SOTW Moulson I feel like I have never scored with except on one timers.

SC Backes has been awful with me so far. He can hit, and survive hits, but he seems really slow. Its not a huge deal to me since I don't really play the speed game most people do, but I was pretty disappointed with him.

The 3rd line of SOTW Steen/Peverley and Filp is great. Pretty fast line and trustworthy defensively, yet scores quite a lot.

SOTW Chara = amazing. He wrecks everything in his site, and is damn hard to knock off the puck offensively. Him and SOTW Streit are awesome together.

Hedman is awesome. He is Chara lite. Huge, wrecks people, but doesn't really have the shot that Chara does. He can skate fast though

Kulikov is great. Does everything well. Scores quite often, and can hit well for a medium sized guy.

SOTW Lehtonen is insanely frustrating. He lets in literally the worst goals, and never EVER makes a big save. Can't say I've had great experiences with him. I had the normal Kari before, and I seriously think that card played better.

______________________________

As far as new additions, I kind of want a SC Lucic, but his skating is so bad. Someone mentioned SOTW Wheeler earlier which is tempting. I like big guys like Lecavalier and Benn that can score and hit.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. And maybe some new defensemen for my bottom pairing that fit the mould of decent skater (doesn't need to be Bouwmeester-ish though) that can hammer people.

You could boost your Landeskog to 99 for 4 games and you won't get more than 5k for him. I just checked and I'm guessing it's your 88 Landeskog that just sold for 2200. There's another unboosted one that's available BIN for 2.5k.

Serious Ice Tilt last night, my SC Quick had a save % of I think 60. Had him pumped to 98. What a waste of a 15 duration card

I can find GOA +3 cards for 500-750 and duration 15s for 1000-1500 during weekends.

My SOTW Lehtonen is always 94-96 and he is a straight beast for me. The key to combatting ice tilt is eliminating all scoring chances, legit (slot, one-timers) and glitchy (floating backhands). Focus on defense and capitalize on your scoring chances. Ice tilt helps your opponent, but your superiir players will still win more often than not.

It was I who mentioned SOTW Wheeler, and he would be perfect for either of your top 2 lines. He's got 89 SKT & 90 CHK, big body, can score and deke well above average. He easily leads my team in PK goals and I have Kesler, SC Sharp and SOTW Pavelski on the PK.

SC Nash, Hossa (SC is better but 100k+) and Zetterberg all are a capable hitter with great speed and a deadly shot.

I've been getting a lot of PMs about strategy and tips for success so I will post for all to see.

(1) Team chemistry should be 95+ because all yoir lines should be 95+
All you need is everyone team changed, in their correct positions. Unless it's TWF or GRN, you can't have a line of all one type.

(2) Defense wins games
Defense need to be big, fast and have a cannon for offensive zone faceoffs (more on this later). Limit your whole corps to one or two small/slow/weak shot. Know the most common scoring plays and play the defense on them hard, force your opponent to be creative and score good goals that make you feel bad for letting in and not mad it was just another cheese goal.

(3) Balance your forward lines and build them to reality
Having a balance of speed, size and scoring is essential to a successful line. You want your first two lines to be your scoring lines, second line with more grit. Third line needs to be energetic, either quick or just real tough on the forecheck. Fourth lines are optional, great for checking or theme lines and useful since they allow your main lines to recover.

(4) Master the faceoff
Look in the Rosters and sort by faceoff rating. 3/4 your centers should have 85+. Learn the Triad:
Backhand > Forehand
Forehand > Tie Up
Tie Up > Backhand
Faceoff rating is directly related to possession, a key to success.

Yeah SOTW Wheeler sounds pretty nice. Especially as a Bruins fan I have no hard feelings toward him

I'll see if I can go about getting him. I was thinking SOTW Ladd would be good too

Should I downgrade my third line? It is currently;

Kovalchuk - Vermette (SOTW Skinner used to be here, but he sucked at faceoffs) - SCE Nash.

Oh and to anyone who can afford this line, this line is one of the best in the game;

TOTY Ovechkin - Gretzky (LA or EDM) - 99 Crosby

Gotta love taking 2 losses online as quits, ****ing up my DNF because of the EA servers' inability to keep connected.

Such BS

And as much as I say ice tilt isn't a big deal, I can't stop giving up breakaways to players with SKT ratings 5+ than my defensemen because pokechecks on the puck have no affect and body checks make no contact. Not even a bounce, just kind of slip off like grease with no animation.

I seriously think the guy was magnetsticking too, the way the game just stopped working so suddenly at the first intermission is WAYYYYY too obvious.

The fact that there are only 5-6 legends (with multiple versions) makes them quite lame.
