Logan Schmidt was reassigned to the Dutchies; not sure about anyone else.

As for the "C", I can't see anyone but Fanelli wearing it. The A's, I expect Thomson (if he returns), McEneny and one of Ming/Meighan (complete guesses there).

Greenfield and Learn also to the Dutchies. Bailey is coming back. Kohn is the only player out with injuries now.

I think taking in the Dutchies this year will be entertaining even though I suspect Learn and Greenfield won't be there after the tradedeadline!

Matia is on his way back now also so it's just Thomson and Faksa is away!

Fanelli(C), Thomson(A), McEneny(A) and I'm going away from the usual suspects (great movie btw) and say that Justin Bailey will be wearing an 'A'.
I'm saying Bailey just so he's primed to become the C for next season.

I'm a little disappointed Learn was sent down -- I really like that kid.

Well, that means the goaltending is set. Teichmann the starter and Moylan the backup (for now).

D still has issues. Fanelli, McEneny, Iafrate, Sergeev, Gilbert, Blaisdell, Stewart, and Hora. One more re-assignment to go or a trade. From what I have seen, I would like to see Hora make the team as the 7th. I dont know if that would mean a trade or what.

F still has too many bodies as well. Bailey, Marcantouni, Pedersen, Sterk, MacInnis, Magyar, Davies, Ming, Meighan, Llewellyn, Kohn, Mense-Dietrich, Teskey, Blasby, and Soper. That 2 extra forwards, and that is not considering that Faksa and Thomson could be returning. For now, the 2 that I would think would be Soper re-assigned. And the second would be Teskey. He hasnt impressed and I would rather a '96 or '97 get the extra spot. It will be another issue if Faksa/Thomson return.

Hard to believe Blasby beat out Learn......to me Learn plays a much harder game. In the eyes of the beholder as they say.

Defenceman Owen Stewart was placed on waivers and claimed by London.
Who'll probably will turn around and trade Stewart and get a 2nd round draft pick!

Yeah...Spott sure is a great developer of talent!

He's a decent defenseman, but with regards to attitude problems, one thing I've always noticed with the guy is he always seemed to be unhappy/uncomfortable at autograph sessions. Just something I noticed with him over the years at Rangers BBQ's and public appearances at Sobey's, etc... Hope he signs on somewhere where he can play more, maybe closer to home (he's from Michigan I think?)

Rumours floating around that Sterk has been traded to Oshawa (no indication of what's coming back).

Not sure what's going on in Rangerland these days, but I'm disappointed to see Sterk go - I really like the kid.

I really like the youth on the forwards and on the d-line and some of the promise of some of unsigned draft picks. So I would hope it for relatively high draft pick(s) that the Rangers are lacking for the next few years!

Maybe they recognize that it is a true rebuild year?

That's my guess -- get picks and youngsters in return for older players. I hope they keep Teichmann around to mentor the young goalies, at least until the deadline and only if they are able to get a huge return for him.

Makes you wonder a bit about Iafrate's future though.

and McEneny (I think Iafrate is a candidate for an OA year though)

I, for one, wouldn't be terribly disappointed. Something about his style of game and the way he carries himself have always rubbed me the wrong way a bit. And in two years, he still has really struggled to pick up the defensive side and yet hasn't broken through offensively.

Having said that, I do see his potential and expected him to be a top-two centre this year. But with Matia and Radek back, this doesn't shock me at all. Not enough ice to go around. I just hope the return is decent. For a youngish skill player, it should be a decent pick.

Brown says Sterk is gone. NOOF says reportedly two picks to Rangers. Wait and see.

Its official. A conditional 4th and a 6th.

Tim, put me in your category. Has potential but easily knocked off the puck and hung onto it too long instead of using teammates. Wish him all the best in Oshawa. Glad to free up room for some of the younger kids in a rebuild year. Looks like this may be a true rebuild.

If he plays on that line all year long, he could be a top 25 point getter this season! Dal Colle is going to damn good this year!

Sterk trade. the fourth round pick turns into a third if he reaches a certain milestone in point production. Go Sterky. Make us sorry they traded you.

I wonder what that milestone is because based on his stellar play in Windsor last night, he will likely reach that. Kid was one of the best players on the ice.

From the outside, a solid choice.

Great story and seemingly great kid.
