Subban (Norris Winner)

So what would you trade for him?

Ah if them what would you offer just so the rest of the habs fans will say your crazy and it would take an overpayment. To make it easy he is not on the market. Nor should he be

Cousins + 2nd from the Flyers. Powerplay specialist who can't play defense is not what we need.

At least 4 1st after next season. He will be an RFA at the end of his current contrat, and his expected salary should be near the top of the compensation chart.

I don't really like PK, but he would get a lot in return. I would say a 1st, A young roster player, and a couple of prospects (at least 1 of which is a top 5 prospect.) at least!

Much like Letang, people will say stuff about spotty d-zone play, etc., and that they wouldn't give up much for him. However, Norris winners don't grow on trees, and they hold high value amongst GMs. If traded, he would get a lot back....and those same fans that said they wouldn't give up a lot for him, would change their opinions about his value once he was wearing their team's sweater.

Love how you just had to add "Norris Winner"

Montreal wont trade him.. They would receive a huuuge overpayment if they were to decide to do so..

Probably the least desirable Norris winner in modern times. Not worth the overpayment it would take to get him

I thought he wouldn't amount to anything due to the "rover" way he played in the WJC. Then, I felt he was under appreciated when the whole contract issue was going on. I was on here pushing that Philly should be dealing for him. Now, he has broken out even more and his value to too large to trade for.

That said, Montreal will keep him and be happy they did. Now it's just gonna cost them more money than it did in January.

For what the Habs would ask in return, no GM (maybe Holmgren) would bite...

Unnecessary redundant piece for Jets considering what it would cost. But if I was in the market, I'd offer more than I would for LeTang. But much less than what it would take to acquire.

As others have said. He is the least desirable Norris winner in the last 5 years. I don't think he'll ever come close to a Norris again.

Considering the fact that he is only 24 years old, I highly doubt your prediction ever comes to fruition. Don't understand why P.K. isn't praised more, the guy does it all. Outstanding skater, booming shot, powerplay quarterback, one of the few defenseman who can make open ice hits, is excellent at moving the puck up and out of the zone, can log a ton of minutes and isn't exactly a defensive liability. I'd love P.K. on the Avs

Philly don't want and don't need Subban. Couturier have more value......

He's an NBA player on skates. Not really the type of player that the NHL and their fans approve of.

Maybe drop Cousins and add Galchenyuk from the Habs. Remember, Shea Weber was taken in the second round, so the chances that the 2nd in this proposal will be another Weber is around 96%. Fair for both teams, maybe a slight overpayment by the Flyers but I think they'll be fine with it.

He will probably be demanding close to 6.5-7 million, if he does sign at that price then it's a good deal. Why wouldn't the habs sign their star two-way defenseman? We will also have more than enough to sign him especially when Gionta and Markov are off the books.

Get a copy of Drew Doughty's contract white out his name and write PK Subban there.

That is the likely course of action.
