Weird, a goal off of a deflection.

Broken stick deflection, but the Hawks did have two players at the net. Interesting strategy.

I didn't catch who it was but one of the Hawks made a break out pass on the back hand across the ice over two lines. It was a thing of beauty.

I'm so tired of this playoff reffing. A penalty is a penalty

Probably wouldn't have mattered, but the penalty should be called. Not to mention the whack in Lucic's face earlier. Don't really care who wins but I just hate to see such horrible officiating in the SCF.

Horrible missed calls both ways. Bruins were tackling guys, and doing some water skiing as well late in the 3rd.

But that's not how the cranky hockey purists see it. Clutching, grabbing, tripping, and interfering is seen as being "tough" in the playoffs.

Yeah, pretty ugly game all around. Bergeron leaves in ambulance???? Didn't look like it was a LBI the way he was skating after he was hurt.

ESPN was talking about how Toews was taking hard hits all game. Guess they've never seen what Sid and Geno deal with every game.

The way Toews got hit tonight is just unacceptable. Makes me sick to see the NHL protect their stars the way they are. Hockey night in Canada put up a video montage in the third showing Seidenberg, Boychuk and the pos Chara taking free blows to Toews head during the game. They all got free pass from the refs... Wake up NHL!!

Jagr hasn't scored a goal in his last 23 games. It's bizarre.

No, it is really just Jagr being finished as an NHL star.

This is why the NHL is behind the other professional sport leagues. NFL, MLB, and NBA allow their stars to shine during the postseason. The NHL wants the no-name third and fourth liners to shine. Gotta be about them good ole hard workin' Canadian boys!

Sort of reminds me of Stiller fans. They can't stand the fact that the NFL is a QB-driven league. They would rather see it be a fullback-driven league.

Leafs trade Scrivens and Frattin to LA for Bernier. Read this on Hockey night in Canada on a facebook post.

Rask slashed Frolik on his empty net try from bench shortly before Frolik trip and there was no call

In end these things even out (Bad calls/Missed calls)

Not always. Why not enforce the rules as written. Or why not rewrite a separate set of rules for the playoffs.

Not defending the refs, but the game is so fast at ice level it's a wonder they get as many calls right as they do. I think there should be an off-ice official (preferably a former or current referee) sitting up in the press area able to call certain penalties. No matter what happens, somebody will always accuse them of favoritism.

They just solved one of their last remaining problems. The Leafs are going to be a good team next year if they make a couple more adjustments IMO.

Really wanted to trade for that guy but obviously no change with the Fleury nonsense going on in this organization. Hopefully now people see a trade like LA 1st + Bernier for Letang was not far-fetched (value-wise). Only far-fetched in the sense of them not needing another offensive D and us not looking to acquire a goalie. Damn youZ Mario, Ray and Bylsma!
