everyone keeps saying that, but vancouver could not score against us. or sustain an attack. I was never afraid of them that series.

even how he had his leg hanging over the boards in ot. the eventual icing hit his leg and stopped the puck. The hawks line had been out there for over a minute at that point and no timeouts available.
If only that were the only mental error committed by the whole team last night.
He was likely preparing to come on when it happened; just a freak though unfortunate little incident.

I'm over Jagr. Time to bench him.

Defense was terrible. Only positive is that while Chicago won, they coughed up a few multi goal leads and Crawford let in 5 goals.

Whomever wins Saturday wins the Cup.

but not sure by whom
As much as the Bruins stunk the joint yesterday, I personally found some good news from it: We lost in OT and scored 5 goals, while coming back from 4 lead changes.

Sometimes Boston plays too cute in front of the home crowd and we saw that last night.

Hossa is hurting bad....so I dont see him being a factor in the next game.

If I'm Julien...you have to go after Sharp. IMO, Kane/Toews are the least of our worries.

Oh goody, this again. Every game is Game 7! And it's over on Saturday because, little known fact, neither the Hawks nor the Bruins have ever won back-to-back playoff games. It is actually against the laws of the universe for a team to win both game 6 and game 7.

As good as Chicago looks on paper..if Boston plays there "GAME" I'm not scared of them.

Boston needs to make some small adjustments and actually show up from the start of the game, instead of giving the Hawks the first 5minutes of each game.

If Chicago decides to start Leddy again in Game 5, you need to dump the puck in and hit there dmen. We've scored a lot of goals because of turnovers.

I have thought the same thing on JJ. He is great when they have possession in the offensive zone, but besides that he is toast..

That could very well be true about whomever wins Saturday, but who knows.. I just know that we blew a huge opportunity last night. I am sure they are thinking and feeling it today. Specially after watching some of the video tape of themselves and how they played the game, defense etc. They must be feeling like sh!! as we are..

I don't think he stunk personally....I think he got hung out to dry pretty badly...

....but the game winner from out on the wide point wasn't screened and wasn't deflected. It's a save that he's usually gonna make. He got clowned on that like Crawford got clowned on JB55's goal, so you gotta call both those pretty crappy ones to allow.

On the CBC replay they showed both Chara/Toews fighting to the right of Rask....he couldn't see anything until the shot came thru. Save he could've made, but he couldnt see much.

Perhaps. I didn't get that replay here. Coulda woulda shoulda. We got used to see him making some amazing saves that it seemed that one seemed makeable.

Then again, I'm a 9-5 shirt and tie schlub so what do I know.

I do however know they can't play worse team defense than they did last night. it's a team that will play better in 5, and at least I know I've got home more home game to attend this season.

People complaining about Jagr last night? Really?

Didn't see his play a a major contributor to last night's loss.

I can name ten other players, at least, who I would single out ahead of him.

How many playoff games has Chicago lost at home this season? And how many did the NYR lose at home in 1972?

Jagr - Not a ball of suck but not huge at being a cog of help

Daugavin - Ball of suck

Thornton - not cause he sucks but cause he isnt/cant be played often enough, we have others who might

Sieds and Chara obviously thought the bear on the sleepytime herb tea was cute and had four cups

Two things in there I might try to fix, definitely gotta do at least one.

I just see Boston playing there best game of this series in Chicago...the players let down Rask who's been our MVP.

A really bad defensive effort by all. Amazing how we totally blame the defense when the forwards were just as guilty. I think seguin played well despite the minus-3 and horrible give away on goal 1. I think we should keep the lines the same but I would sneak seguin out for the odd extra shift in place of jagr or Horton. Not to the point of benching anyone but just getting tyler up to 18 minutes or more. On the Seidenberg pinch marchand made 2 huge mistakes---first of all he was in position to cover the pinch and didn't than mistake 2 he did a skate by circle in the corner or the goal never happens. Heres the tricky part last night the bergy line gave up more of the goals but I think in general they look ok against the hawk big line. The hawks big line just totally dominated the k-l-h line . We will see in chi but if I was quenville that's the line of the two I would go against. Bottom line though the forwards have just as much blame as the defense for giving up goals last night I could go on and on about almost every guy making huge mistakes by giving it away or bad positional play.

You cant honestly feel better playing against a team who is 10-2 at home and 4-5 on the road . Can we win in Chicago--sure but we took ourselves from having a 90 percent shot of winning this series with a win last night to a coin flip with a loss.

lets just hope we throw alot of pucks at the net saturday, because crawford looks shaky.
also i think looch should do the dump and chase more like on the 2nd goal.

i would also put seguin on the 2nd line with marsh and bergy. throw jagr in there from time to time.

gotta feel for thorty. the guy gets like 5 minutes of ice time and probably saves a goal for chicago. i think that boychuk blast was going in.

Bring in Soderberg so he can be used throughout the bottom six. See if you can find some chemistry.
