Niklas Backstrom will be the main target by the Leafs I would say. No reports or sources on this but seems like he fits perfectly to what they want as their #1b goaltender for the short-term.

Call it a gut feeling. Perhaps a bit of wishful thinking in that too.

So much contradiction in these two statements. I'm guessing Backs is very likely to be back in a Wild uniform next season. The only thing standing in the two sides' way is Dany Heatley actually. Because we can't buy him out now due to his injury it makes re-signing the players we want very difficult.

I'd hate to see Stalberg on the wings, want him on the Avs.

How am I contradicting myself? I specifically said "[...] I would say". What I meant is that I think he will be pursued by the Leafs.

With everything the Leafs have said in regards to their goaltending, Backstrom fits perfectly. I don't have reports or anything to support my claim but he fits.

Whether he signs with the Leafs or not is another story.

very doubtful...Avs are going to draft either MacKinnon or Barkov which would give them Duchene, RoR, Stastny, Mac/Barkov down the middle...no room for Bozak, even if Stastny gets traded like some have speculated, Bozak isn't going to get paid to play on the 4th line

the only way I see Bozak signing with the Avs is if Drouin gets drafted to play on the wing with Duchene and the Avs still decide to trade Stastny

What if they move Stastny and ROR for defence help and role with

McKinnon
Duchene
Bozak

Ryder's agent already said he won't be back in MTL and due to his horrible playoffs, we don't really want him either.

Just a gut feeling I have, doesn't mean my picks make sense lol I just think Bozak ends up going to Colorado somehow.

RoR can't be moved until late Feb because of the offer sheet...

Here's how I really see this playing out for the Avs, either RoR gets extended this off-season and Stastny is traded immediately for a Dman OR Stastny is extended and RoR is traded at the deadline for a Dman...
