Even asking after a guy like Kostitsyn is a waste of time. I wouldn't sign him under any circumstances.

It's funny how people think Iggy will end up a king. It would never happen.

I have to say it's kid of amusing how you would propose the LA Kings to sign Kostitsyn after you consistently threw Kopitar and Brown under the buss this (or shall I say previous?) season...
Just sayin'

When did I throw Brown under the bus? Brown is probably the only king I never complain about.

Then I am wrong on the Brown part...doesn't change the double standards you have for different players still...
And it's still kind of funny...

You know, I tend to agree with this..but for the right price it's not a bad idea. He's still deadly and on the right line he could do wonders.

Yeah, I agree with you. But what is the right price? And do we have enough cap space to fit him onto roster or would a Iginla signing mean the Kings have to trade someone with a higher salary (Stoll, Williams..)?

...Ok, anyway. Yeah, I'm not really a fan of Iginla or Kostitsyn. I think this team is built really well around ward working guys that can play both ends of the ice. I don't mind sacrificing some points for good two way play.

Iginla at the right price is someone you definitely want on your team. He's not what he was, but you want warriors like him on your side.

if you can get the 1st or 2nd line lw of the future on a cheap contract ( skinner or Keider come to mine not for sure them but someone like that ) i would seriously consider trading williams. Yes i agree tradeing william would be a hell of a risk but the improvement in the lw spot would make this team better.

Are you suggesting a guy like Jarome isn't hard working?

What I've read so far is that Blum and Ottawa have interest and both make sense. Ottawa could use him and Blum could get playing time on a playoff team. Mueller will likely re-sign in Florida. If not, he'll get big money from some team not named the Kings. Also for Gerbe, I like him but no.

Same. No cap for him. Way too deep to sign him. It's weird. I want him to win the cup but I don't. I want the Kings to win every one ever. So maybe in a year or two we can take him on just so he gets a ring.

If Scuds leaves do the Kings stand pat or spend?

As an aside, does anyone know how to turn off these ace ads. Driving me bonkers every time the mouse goes over them.

I think if scuds leaves the kings would give Holloway what he wants.

If the Kings do anything, my guess is that they wait until all the big contracts get signed around the league, and then maybe sign a value guy that falls through the cracks.

No, that's more about Kostitsyn. Iginla is more about his age and I don't think he's the player he used to be.

I'm confused, is this an off-topic offseason thread to talk about what other teams are doing? There seems to be two active threads on the Kings' offseason activities.

This is a catch all. The roster discussion thread should be for discussion posts and content that goes further than "I want ________."

Any moves the Kings make should get their own thread, including if Scuderi signs somewhere else.

Rob has turned down a few of our offers and there has been back and forth. We will see how it all works out. Never say never but I stand by what I said ten days ago so far. As of yesterday Rob hasn't seen anything he wants to sign from us and he will be looking to move East.

I heard that yesterdays offer was DL's "best offer" so it could be game over.

Iggy to Dallas. Call it a hunch.
