Zach Yuen is invited, he was drafted by Winnipeg in 2011 but never signed. Watched him twice at their development camp. Smooth skater, good with the puck, not the biggest size. Not sure why Winnipeg never signed him.

Probably. Still funny to me.

But anyway, I'll probably be going to a few sessions since I am fortuitous enough to have Thursday and Friday off.... I was thinking:

July 4th: Team A
July 5th: Team B
July 6th: Team A

We wish him all the best with you and hope he succeeds. We're not entirely sure either why we didn't qualify him. It may be because we're pretty stacked with 2nd and 3rd pairing defenseman in our organization but mostly on the right side and Yuen plays left so... yeah we're not all certain.

He's a good skater and does a lot of things well but nothing great. He could turn out to be a nice bottom pairing defenseman but chances are not that big.

So, Hansson, Paulovic, and Makela will not be at development camp. I assume those three weren't at the draft either because none of them were interviewed.

Not a surprise they werent there considering the last two nobody ever heard of. Out of mild curiosity, do Europeans who aren't going to be taken in round 1 or 2 generally not go?

Esa Lindell was at the draft last year (3rd round pick). Kiviaho wasn't at the draft, but he did make it to the developmental camp.

There was more separation between the last draft and development camp though, IIRC.

The draft was on Sunday and the prospect camp is a few days later. It's not like they're in North America already. If the prospect camp was a week or two later, I'm sure they'd try and find a way to get them over.

Its a shame Paulovic is not attending. Peterborough Petes(OHL) took him today in the import draft and I was looking forward to readig what you guys thought of his game. Cant find anything on him online.

Hopefully we get a bit more content coming from the camp in the upcoming days. I think that trade kind of took all the attention for today lol

Meh, it was also a dick move to shoot at the goalie's head right before that.

Maybe the scouting report about his shot lacking are true but he definitely went out of his way to make the coach look silly

Yea, that move caught my eye. Wasn't sure it was him until he did that and I figured no one else at the camp would have the balls to even try that.
