Just awful to hear. Hope all you and your loved ones are all okay, that damages are as minimal as possible, and the reported damages to the Saddledome are being overstated.

Thoughts are with you guys.

My parents live in Bridgeland but they're higher up in a condo and they don't seem too worried. My dad works for the Stampede and couldn't leave work for quite a while. I'm supposed to fly in for the Canada Day weekend so I hope I'm still able to.

I'll lose it if anything happens to Pete's Drive Thru. Hopefully this flooding stops soon so that the cleanup can get underway. Calgary is to nice of a city.

Peter's is on the high ground at 16th avenue NE. If the flood waters ever reached up there everyone in southern Alberta would be in serious s***.

Hope everyone is safe, and that the damage is as low as possible. Awful thing to happen.

Plenty of arenas we could use. Edmonton, Vancouver, Red Deer, Lethbridge etc.

Maybe, maybe not. The Bow River flows into the South Saskatchewan River. This is headed our way (I am in Saskatoon right now) in probably a day or two. Granted Credit Union Centre is so far away from the river it would be useable. Either way, I hope everyone in the Calgary area stays safe and that this water recedes before it hits the Bridge City.
