Rolston is the man. A perannual (sp?) candidate for team MVP.

excellant...especially good to see Rollie step up after his quotes today about the Vets needing to get it in gear and lead the way...

Good to see guys put to practice what they preach...

I really hope that Toivonen gets some regular season action at the start of the season........it'll be my only chance to get to see the kid play. Just want to see him for myself.....instead of just hearing about him.

I said it

I've said it before...what the heck are we going to do if Toivonen is clearly our best goaltender? If there is going to be a work stoppage next season, we might as well play him this year I mean, we're not going to play Donato if Bergeron is better...so why play Potvin/Shields if Toivonen is better?

We're not asking kids under twenty to be lawyers or NASA engineers in this case: we just want a kid to play goalie in the NHL. Heck, if we ask eighteen year olds to give their life for this country we should feel comfortable with asking a kid from Finland to take some Al McInnis slapshots for us. Some youths just get it, and they're ready to go. Rayzor and Hannu get it. Just because Grahame is a flake it shouldn't make us trigger shy in letting these kids play...they seem more emotionally mature than Hackett.

I'm of the mind that if the kids ...like Hannu and Bergeron play well against NHL regulars...and fill the need ...then so be it.. they will have earned their postions...

besides ..I ain't getting any younger..

I think I'd feel better about throwing Hannu into the NHL gristmill if he was backed up by a wise, grizzled old veteran 'ala Jacque Plante...

...instead of the headline reading: shell-shocked rookie convaleces in Finland...
