Torts to Vancouver/ Ruff to Dallas

http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/ey...cks-head-coach

"Tortorella, who was fired by the New York Rangers after the team's second-round ouster at the hands of the Boston Bruins, reportedly was offered the Canucks job Friday and both sides were nearing an agreement.

This report also comes on the heels of Tortorella's former team introducing former Canucks coach Alain Vigneault as its new bench boss Friday."

Weird.

The Dallas Stars made it official on Friday morning and announced that Lindy Ruff will be the 22nd coach in franchise history. Ruff replaces Glen Gulutzan, who was dismissed following the 2013 season.

Torts is going to have a ball between the press (Tony Gallagher if you are on his you know what list) and team1040 radio. For hockey, New York press is a piece of cake compared to Vancouver.

The "opposite coach" phenomenon in Vancouver and NYR. They both desperately wanted coaches opposite of what they had, they just happened to switch teams.

AV in NYR makes sense. Good coach and was the fall guy for a bad GM.

Torts makes no sense. We'll see how that one goes.

Be curious to see how Ruff does. He was good when he had a limited budget. When buf started spending, he seemed to get less results for more pieces.
