Does Tommy Wingels make Team USA?

The thread title says it all, do you think our biggest surprise forward makes Team USA? I personally think that he won't but I think that he deserves to. I think he'll get overlooked and will be seen by many as a 3rd or 4th line tweener who's off to a hot start but I think he's really shown this season that he is much more than that. I love Wingels worth ethic and I absolutely love the way he battles and gets into the dirty areas especially in those board battles. He leads the the team in hits with 52 and has 16 points which is pretty damn good in my opinion.

The reason I added the two "no" options is because if he doesn't make it then I just wanna see how many of you guys think he should or shouldn't make it. Well what do you guys think?

Seems to be something wrong with the poll. If a mod can fix that, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If the poll was up I'd say no and because he doesn't deserve it. He's having a great year so far but its his first time doing so. If he keeps it up for a couple years then I'm sure next time around he would be looked at.

Sorry Tommy.
If I was team USA I wouldn't count on Max Pac because of his health issues. Kesler could even be an issue in that regard. Even so, I doubt Wingels makes the list even if both of them are out, but that is about his only hope.

That doesn't even include Okposo, Oshie, Steppan, Saad, Wheeler, Legwand, Galchenyuk, etc.

Not this Olympics, but in 2018, Nieto-Pavelski-Wingels will be the best line at the tournament and will lead the U.S. to their second consecutive gold.

Haha I think you may be right except for your last point there pal, because Canada will be winning it again this year

But yeah I really do hope that Wingels and Nieto continue to progress with hopefully our team and become locks for the next Olympics.

Sorry Tommy.
Speaking from the Canadian side of the border; that is a pretty solid forward group there. I don't see Wingels making it before any in that bunch but, man it will be an exciting tournament.

Hahahahahaha did i mention hahahahaha yet? Wingels is a good 3rd/4th line winger who is getting his 15 minutes of fame in the top six due to injuries. But this hot streak will soon end and every one will go back to being hot and cold of what he brings to the team.

Wingels will not finish the season even remotely close to 60 points (the pace he os on right now), if he finishes the season with 40 points it will be a very sucessfull season and will most likely end up being wingels career year.

I think these 4 are somewhere between high possibilities to locks (Oshie). I don't think Legwand has a snowball's chance. You could also add Stafford to the remote possibilities that would go before Wingels.

big fan of Wingels and how his style really works well on the Sharks but I don't think he makes this upcoming roster.
