They look fantastic. Big red is a great example of a players jersey quickly changing your opinion of him. Lot to like with this Fire team. A good DP and this team is a darkhorse contender.

Also, this backup keeper blows. Way off the line, Johnson would've had it.

Gotta go with my boy Rolfe. Anibaba isn't a RB. This team needs a Prideaux or Gargan in the worst way.

An RB and a true striker would be great

Magee is definitely a striker. Him and Rolfe are a very good MLS level pair. I'd go for a good AMC.

He's naturally a forward, just played MD because they Keane, Donovan, and some what also Juninho.

Phone sucks, so I'm late, but game ruled. Predicted 3-2 when it was 1-0, my buddies can confirm but didn't get a chance to post, lol.

The winner of the NBA's Most Interesting Person award is Celtics president Danny Ainge. Ten short days after he traded Doc Rivers to the Clippers, Ainge replaced him by hiring Butler's Brad Stevens. This does not come as an absolute shock throughout the NBA; last week a rival team executive suggested Stevens as a possible coach for the Celtics. There is, however, a big difference between considering Stevens as a candidate versus vesting the future of the NBA's winningest franchise in him. Stevens, 36, has never coached professionally. The history of failure by college coaches in the NBA -- with Rick Pitino's tenure in Boston serving among the most infamous examples -- reveals this to be a daring choice by Ainge and principal owner Wyc Grousbeck.

So much for Brad Stevens not going for more $. What's next? Shaka Smart to the Lakers?

Billy Donovan, college basketball's most ununderappreciated head coach, was Orlando's coach for a day. Also, Coach K was damn close to being the Lakers' coach.

Only because MacDonald is a joke and has been playing in reserve matches. Magee has been an attacking midfielder every other year in the MLS, even before Keane was on LA. He's not a natural striker.

A Major League Baseball umpire was recently dismissed for what was believed to be the first known drug ouster among umps, two people familiar with the situation have told The Associated Press. MLB announced on June 14 that Brian Runge was no longer on the staff and that a Triple-A umpire had been promoted, but didn't give a reason. Only once since 2000 had such a change been made in midseason, and that was because of an injury. The two people said Runge failed at least one drug test, then reached an agreement so he could remain on the umpire roster. When he failed to comply with those terms, he was released.

Firing an ump is like trying to fire a teacher with tenure.

@MattSpiegel670: Cubs promoted Javier Baez to double A. I bet Soler would have been with him if healthy. Still think September 2014 is realistic for Javy,

No surprise the Cubs and Sox only manage one all star a piece. Happy for Travis Wood, have to think if Garza was healthy all season it would be him though.

Saw this on Facebook:

Javier Baez was promoted to AA today. In his first AA at bat, what did he do? He homered deep to dead center. Because he's Javier Baez.
