Silvas antics finally caught up with him. Karma is a b###h.

Wish the fight ended better and not with Silva losing more then anything but it is what it is.

Go watch the Takase fight that Anderson lost. It'll change your opinion on that.

Him getting knocked out while showboating is a black eye on his legacy and makes the sport look silly

There's sound strategic and technical reasoning to what he did. Plus, that's just how Anderson Silva fights.

The backup keeper blows. Johnson stops the second one easily, it was just a weak chip on net. Totally different game if they're not down 2 at that point.

But yeah, let's take away a team's top player so he can sit on his ass at the Gold Cup

Tornaghi has had some decent games. Definitely a poor stretch for him.

Can't believe the Cubs got such a good prospect for Hairston.

Baseball America released their Mid-Season Top 50 Prospects and the Cubs have three in the top 20…Baez (#10), Almora (16), and Soler (18) as expected

What's this feeling I'm having? Cautious optimism for the future? No, stop it, damn it! Keep your expectations low, self!

I have no expectations for the Cubs either way. They have killed all passion I have felt for them. They are going to actually have to win a round in the playoffs for me to give a damn about them.

They will, but if they don't, they'll have the #3 pick in the draft next year, could just take him again and then they'll have him by the balls when it comes to signing.

The Cubs are going to look into signing Garza long-term.

If I was in charge (not as brilliant as Thoyer), I'd wait until the deadline. Imagine the offers. If you get a can't-refuse offer from a desperate contender, trade him. If you get good but not great offers, sign him.

Agreed. In the last 10 years I've come to love the Sox and their announcers who are much better than the Cub's announcers, but they're really winning less with more talent than the Cubs this year. The Cubs have made some great trades, have great prospects, and the future looks bright for them.

2008 was definitely a breaking point for most fans, myself included. The fates were all lined up to finally win it all, and then we **** the bed in the playoffs.

Think that that offseason was the moment that the fanbase overall turned from, "There's always next year," to "I'll believe it when I see it."

Still a diehard Cubs fan, but let's just say I'm not entering any season with high expectations anymore.

This season has just been depressing. Before, we had Rizzo and Castro to look forward to along with any pitching. Now, it's just the pitching. Half the game is irrelevant.

The most exciting part of this year is seeing the specs we get back in trades.

I'm sick of Sveum. What little talent this team does have is regressing, team plays dumb as **** on defense...if not next year, Francona is here in 2 years
