Youngest Players

Who were the youngest players in the league this past season? I'd imagine Bergeron was probably the youngest, but who else?

Bergeron was the youngest because he was the only one to play and be under 20 years old during the season.

Chris Borque also played with an Amatuer Tryout. And I'm pretty sure he's younger than Bergeron.

Portland in general was one of the youngest teams, and probably all things considered that was the reason they underachieved.

Tim Brent in Cincinnati was 20 this season as well and would have played the whole season except for a leg injury that kept him out for about half the season

There were a bunch of players that played a short time with Tryout contracts...
like Jordan Smith and Ryan Getzlaf who both played for Cincinnati after they werer done in the CHL

Fleury was the youngest goalie, I think.

Fleury was 19 until November 28th.

He was the youngest, as far as I know, but he wasn't the only one to play under the age of 20. He was probably the only who played the entire season under 20, if that's what you meant. Ryan Suter, for example, was 19 until late January.

Dustin Brown turned 20 in November so he's another who was 19 when the season started.

Andrei Kostitsyn was 19, turned 20 on 2-13-05 or so.

Dustin Brown and Eric Staal were all 19 until some time in late 2004.
