Gagne - Lecavalier - Jagr
Hartnell - Giroux - Voracek
Schenn - Couturier - Simmonds
Rinaldo - Laughton - Talbot

I think we should employ this lineup.

Eh, Gagne is 33, Lecavalier is 33. Not exactly ancient. Jagr though. Shew.

If he really ends up there with Crosby whom he doesn't like at all, I won't understand his off season moves anymore.

I'd like Vinny, but we really have no where to put him, especially if he costs a pretty penny.

I feel that way too but it's too fun to pass the time at work arguing with dumb people. Also I feel compelled to educate them on things such as players that don't play for the Flyers that they have no clue about.

Good guy Jagr, asks to sign here for almost nothing just for the chance to hipcheck Crosby as much as possible.

The Flyers being old is seriously overblown. The bulk of the team is in between 22-29 years old. I think the only 30+ players on the team are Kimmo, Streit, and Hartnell. Gagne, too, if he is resigned.

Honestly though...

Gagne - Lecavalier - Jagr would probably be a pretty decent third line...

Lol it's my selfish dream as well because this year when I was in the US, I finally bought a Jagr Flyers jersey (if I ordered it to the Czech republic it would take weeks and there would be a toll to pay etc.) - so I could rock it one more season. With a beautiful Flyers hat, but that's way off topic

Bill Clement has been saying that for years...
Oh, and do you know what Forsberg once told Clement about Gagne?

That was then this is now. Gagne barely has anything that resembles a scoring touch now a days. He was brutal down the stretch when put on Giroux and Voracek's line. He cost those guys a ton of A's because he couldn't hit the net for his life. I remember the Carolina game specifically where he must of owed Giroux about 5 A's alone because he couldn't hit the net.

I'd take Gagne on a lesser hit over Brunner. I still think he juice left in the tank to be a solid third liner and 2nd PP type of guy (though if Vinny did sign here, I'm not sure Gagne would fit on the PP unit). Brunner played well this year, but I haven't seen enough of him to endorse him at this point. Never even heard of him until about halfway through this shortened season.

5-6 years? It's so funny. They still leave in the quote where he describes the flyers young nucleus involving Carter and Richards. Columbus still has Nash according to ea clement lol

Possibly, but I was only being half serious. I don't think going after Lu and Vinny would be smart when you have to re up the younger players soon.

Depends on cap hit and term. These guys could either be very greedy and sign another obnoxious deal or try to sign with contenders and go for the cup. It'll be interesting.

Do I see Philly as a cup contender right now? With a full training camp and a ton of sophomore jynx over the right pieces could make them one as long as they don't give up much. Lots of talent here.

I'd be thrilled with getting Brunner. He's got a great shot and is still relatively young. Lecavalier would probably cost too much.
