Not a bad idea you've got there....but it seemed really clear that it was solely about the playoffs, the Habs to make it, and Wiz to play at least 50% of the games.

Maybe we can get more info from the Isles side to have an explanation. I read posts but don't tweet myself... Can anyone that has an account tweet an Isles guy?

Here are some Isles reporters and beat guys...

I used my evaluation a lot to base it, but I looked into the teams needs, depth charts and draft tendencies. Not an easy task, harder than I thought it would be. Rychel should indeed be picked in the 1st, but I had a hard time slotting him ahead of anyone in my mind.

I appreciate any comments, may it be ripping apart my mock or praising it, since it's my first time.

Again, I agree about Rychel, but it was pretty hard to put anyone outside of the first in my mind. Maybe I based it too much on my evaluation of the players.

My point is maybe there was an AND the player re-signs in Montreal...or the reported conditions were Bs and it was oinly about Wiz re-signing?

Hey, I did the exercise for the Q players. I can make the exercice for the Americans as well....

1st round: Hartman/McCarron
2nd round: Compher/McCoshen
2nd round: Santini/Vannelli
2nd round: Downing/Hurley
3rd round: Hayden/Pesce
3rd round: Fasching/Copp/Sanford
6th round: Florentino
7th round: Lewis

That's really not bad. Heavy on D....but mind you, I just did that in 2 minutes. There's surely other guys out there...

Why do you all want Zykov? YOU DON'T WIN CUPS WITH RUSSIANS/EUROPEANS you win them with toughness, grit, heart, character and attitude.

Plusieurs m'ont écrit à ce sujet. Tant les Islanders que les #Habs disent que le 116e choix va à MTL, comme le dit le document de la LNH

Anybody been over to the Isles board to find out what their take is? I'd be pretty indignant if I found the Habs were suddenly losing a pick for no good reason (or so it would seem).

I believe a mock draft is definitely going to be a very tough thing to accomplish this year, as alot of movement is expected, although that may not come to fruition if teams are only allotted 3 minutes to make a decision.

While mock drafts will be destroyed by trades, I do think you probably have got 26-28 guys who will actually go in the 1st round. That seems to be the true barometer.

Your mock draft was informative though. Good write ups!

Nice, guess I'll watch the draft until the fourth round this year.

Indeed. Krejci, Hossa, Rask and Chara are prime examples of this logic at work.

I watched Zykov play in person a couple of times this year. He is tough. He is gritty. He plays with heart. He has great character and a better attitude.

And he can SCORE.

Sign me up.

Yeah I wonder how Chicago would have done without Hossa, Handzus, Frolik, Kruger, Hjalmarsson and Oduya.
