If we could grab a Tootoo, a Kenopka, and a Zach Smith while we are at it suddenly we have a sexy bottom six...

Kenopka can't play offensive hockey. He's literally Belanger. Tootoo can't play offensive hockey. Eager's ship has sailed.

I wonder if MIN wants NSchultz back for Clutterbuck. We can eat 1.5M of that remaining 3.5M albatross of a contract.

N.Schultz+Pitlick for Clutterbuck

He's a fan fave...they literally made the trade because they were getting what most though was an upgrade at D.

I'd be pumped for Clutterbuck. Always struck me as a solid energy player who is capable of stepping into the top 6 on occasion (though I don't think he should be slotted in there).

If we are building our bottom 2 lines. I want to see one line that can cycle the puck and generate some opportunites and one that can shut down oppositions better lines. Now more building bottom lines with people just because they are big or fight, they need a purpose. Tootoo doesnt really fit any of those great.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...eating salary on N. Schultz? Why are you putting that in the mix? I think if Minnesota is trying to shed salary, a prospect they like and a pick is enough for Clutterbuck.

I wonder what the bidding war on Peverley will look like. BOS has to try and move him to fit everyone under the cap. Maybe Hamilton usurps Ference?

Trade targets for them could include Peverley and his big cap hit - Seguin may be another option at 5.5M+ as a cap hit (unlikely though).

2nd for 2yrs of Peverley? Gladly.

Exactly. If you're Minnesota, you probably can't sign the guy anyways, may not be able to qualify him. Better to get an asset for him (maybe even a pick) than nothing.

Tootoo is a big upgrade on Brown IMO, he would do well on the 4th line playing limited minutes simply there to hit. He isn't an offensive black hole like Brown either.

Also I see Smithson as more of a 5c extra man kinda guy, and I hope they re sign him as such. Don't like having our extra man not be center depth

Brown isn't here to score goals and assists. He does his job very well.

Someone is going to offer something significantly more valuable than bust-a-holic Tyler Pitlick

I would rather have Rajala as the #4RW than Tootoo.

And Tootoo will do everything he does, but better and give us a chance to score a goal. It's for a 4th line role but when you have an opportunity to upgrade at any position, you should.

That's a nasty over-payment for a guy who was basically invisible for the entire season. I would freak if MacT made that trade.

And I don't get all the Z. Smith love, hes just a Ryan Jones clone and Hemsky isn't worth moving for that.

It's sad to see Hemsky, the kid who looked to be the franchise of the Oilers, be traded for a 3rd line scrub.
