Barkov spoke briefly on Monday, he's not skating obviously, but just kind of enjoying his time in FL and getting acclimated to everyone. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Good description.

I'll add a couple of points. Trocheck is always in the play. Backcheck, forecheck, powerplay, penalty kill. He'll win key faceoffs, generate turnovers, create chances. He's been playing probaby close to 30 minutes a night in junior and has missed games only for the WJC and a suspension he got for fighting on the opening faceoff.

The only time Trocheck gets a rest is in the penalty box. He will simply outwork every other player on the ice, shift after shift after shift.

Exactly, Skrudland made the point to say that a guy with Trocheck's work ethic is going to push Barkov/Bjugstad to be better. Great guy to have around.

Let's not forget that a few also come from places like Russia where no one gives a damn about baseball haha...let alone the Marlins!

I think it's actually kind of funny. So far, I think these kids are really enjoying South Florida. They've been tweeting about it non-stop.

yeah, baseball is almost unheard of over here, outside of NY yankees... i followed baseball a tad bit for a month but too many late games and nhl playoffs at once, might get a mlb.tv subscription again

took me many games to get hang of the basics, i still don't know a lot aobut it, lol

did i see wrong or is huberdeau really trying to know sasha? the video from wholefoods, blonde giant(?) that huberdeau talks to at some point, is that sasha? i think huberdeau is nicest guy ever

Rocco has looked great all week.

Beauvillier looks good and Nielsen looks good.

The week is more about who stands out and who does not. The drills and mini scrimmages simply show who is ready to move forward and who is not.

Cowley is just plain bad at this level.
