who cares what pretend line I have Sharp on in a made up scenario...

as I stated, some people need to relax about lines as it is meaningless with how much Q rolls them.

Sharp played multiple times on the third line throughout the playoffs, it is the way Q rolled the dice...no big deal.

Speaking of rings, have they shown the rings for this year yet?

Messing around on cap geek and it pretty much is Bolland/Frolik or Bickell. Can't keep all 3 unless Bickell wants to take a real big discount and sign for $3 mil and we bring in a back up goalie for around $800,000

Trade Dave Bolland to the NY Islanders and flip-flop first round draft picks. Marty Reasoner and Keith Aucoin are toast as third line checking centers.

It just depends on Bickells next contract. With some luck and tweaking it could work. It won't and Bolland will get traded - kind of makes me sad - but thats the business part and Bolland just can't stay healthy

One year of Dave Bolland isn't worth the 15th overall draft pick IMO. If he was coming off his 2009 year w/ almost 20g & 30a, sure. Coming off of last year, highly unlikely, especially with his injury history and the Hawks trying to move DB instead of other teams asking about him.

Gaustad was worth a 1st... others were too. Those guys did not come from scoring the Cup clincher and winning their 2nd Cup 1 week before...

Found a way to keep all 3.

You buyout Montador and Olesz, you move Carcillo, and you sign a cheaper back-up.

It works out with just under a million in cap space.

Package Bolland, Frolik, Brookbank and obtain a boatload of draft picks this year!

Bring back Rozsival - Chicago Blackhawks Playoffs Unsung Hero

He missed the first 3 of the Cup final, Ladd was playing well up until that point.

I wouldn't even trade Leddy alone for Cammy IF the Flames keep salary. Let alone adding our 1st

trade Brookbank to replace him with Stanton would help too, much like a Carcillo trade I don't see it happening

Will be very interesting to see the timing of contracts. If you sign Bickell before the draft, teams will know the Hawks have to trade players to make it work. If you wait until after the draft, Bickell's agent can try to hold the Hawks hostage for more money. Similarly, if the Hawks sign Bickell before they get a deal done with Leddy, it will leave them open to offer sheets.
