Handzus was pretty good at draws until he broke his hand

Stan will definitely sign a cheap vet. No way the Hawks go into next season with 3 rookie forwards on the roster.

Any possibility of Bozak? He's routinely proficient on draws.

Lots of spots open for the kids to battle for in camp, love it! Sleepers to make the squad next season: Danault, Ross and Dahlbeck.

2 of Hayes/Pirri/LeBlanc/Morin/Smith will make the roster for sure. Could be 3. I kind of like this youth movement. Those guys are hungry for sure to prove their worth.

Interesting to see what will happen on D. Rozi or different UFA?

I won't be surprised to see Danault win a spot out of TC.

"I'm excited about the ability to keep Bryan Bickell, and also at some point we have to open up some spots for some of these young players who have been pushing on the NHL. Whether it's Jimmy Hayes or Brandon Pirri or Ben Smith or Jeremy Morin, those are four forwards right there who really deserve to be in the NHL, but they've been blocked out for a long time."

Danault, Ross, and Dahlbeck will fill in the empty spots in Rockford after Morin, Pirri and possibly LeBlanc come up to the big club. No chance they make the team out of training camp IMO.

You're about 1 mil low on Leddy.

If the Chicago Blackhawks pursue a forward in unrestricted free agency, a center who excels at faceoffs and kills penalties should be the highest priority given the pending salary cap constraints (RFA Leddy, RFA Kruger, UFA Rozsival).

I do think you'll see them bring in at least 1 low cost free agent centerman as well as a vet 5th/6th defeseman.

If you're trying to make capgeek work with guys like Vinny, etc., Craig Adams is a good guy to look at, UFA C, been here before, could sign for 600K.

This what it looks like they are doing, to me.

I think they are looking at a #4/5 Dman in the UFA pool, and going with youth up front to start the season, and then acquiring a vet or 2 near the TD.

No way they go into the season with 6 rookies. I think it'll be Smith or Hayes and that they'll sign a low cost bottom 6 vet center and that Stanton won't make it, they'll find a vet D-man like you stated.

With what I seem from Stan and his interview on draft day, the kids will get there chance. Meaning Pirri/Morin/Smith.

He specifically mentioned Pirri and how he lead in the AHL, and almost seemed as if he felt "bad" for some of the kids because they would have most likely player on other teams.

Bickell-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Pirri-Hossa
Saad-Shaw-*******
Leblanc-Kruger-

Hmmmmm

I could envision Leblanc playing next season in the AHL, if Pirri earns the second line center role.

Saad - Shaw - Morin/Smith
Bollig/Carcillo - Kruger - Gordon

Boyd Gordon can play either center or right wing.
