As new GM of the Coyotes franchise, my first priority was a comprehensive sit down with the financial books. After prying them from former Coyotes GM RR's hands, despite his girlish screams of protest and to "consider the margins", I was mortified at at the red ink through the book. Numerous questions followed.
"Did we make any profits? What do you mean you're not familiar with the word?"
"Why do we have monthly shipments of emu meat from Doan Family Ranch Incorporated?"
"We're committed for 5 years to this dude and he's got an out clause every year? He wants what named after him?! We are not going to be rebranded as the Phoenix Just-The-Tippets. No.
…I'll think about it."
"We use the emus for WHAT?! Oh god... I ate one of those hot dogs yesterday."
Because of the NMC/NTC situation, if we do not get interest from serious playoff teams for Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau by tomorrow, we will look in a different direction. Dan Boyle and Martin Havlat would remain available, however.

3rd overall pick, Teddy Purcell, Brett Connolly among others are available for defensive help. In order to move the 3rd overall pick I'll need a two-way, top pairing defenseman on the right side of 30.
willing to give up an asset for a team to take one of Montador, Olesz or Brookbank.
Also, we are looking for a #2 C. We're dangling Bolland, Oduya, 30th overall, and all prospects to get it done. Our budget for this is about 5.5m, but we're willing to add more assets for salary retained.
