If Magnus learns how to use his size, he could be an absolute horse!!...if we can get him for a reasonable price, I'd say go for it...
MPS has improved his physicality significantly. He's not exactly a beast but he's not soft anymore either. He's actually become underrated because he's not offensively the player he was expected to be.
Tradin Price should be evaluated this weekend...if they are smart.
If they can get a grandslam package,do it.
And by grand slam you mean getting a #1A goalie in return? Price is only turning 26 this summer. Imagine him in his prime. He can shelve out 3-5 really outstanding years and we may have a legitamite shot at a cup. What goalie can we trade Price for that would possibly give us that same opportunity? Like him or hate him, he's currently our best shot and we have no choice but to bank on him.
Not sure if it was mentioned anywhere, but seems that the Oilers are ready to part with one of their youngsters, and seems that there were talks about that youngster for a trade with the Habs?
Only guy I see is MPS. If the guy can one day be who he was suppose to become, would clearly fit a need here. That's coming from Martin McGuire on 98.5 fm
If you combine the Plekanec rumour and this one...Might be a trade for a more impactful player/pick than MPS. Plekanec would be an excellent addition for Edmonton, not sure if he'd wave his NTC to go there.
With his stock dropping and with the stocks of Bryan Bickell and David Clarkson at their peak, I'd like to see Bergevin make a pitch for Ryane Clowe still, at the right price, especially if Bergevin can unload Moen somewhere.
Trading Price for one of Jones, Drouin or McKinnon would repair the mistake that was made by drafting a non-generational goalie talent 5th overall and paying him ridiculous money on top of it. I'd jump up and down for 10 minutes straight. I don't care who we replace Price with. The habs in their current state aren't a contender, so having a subpar goalie next year wouldn't be that big of a deal. Not that Price is terrible, but he's not an unique snowflake, he's not the next Roy, he's not special enough to be worth a top 3 pick in this draft IMO.
My untouchables would be Pacioretty, Subban, Galchenyuk.
Gallagher is someone I'd move for the right price but it would have to be a great offer. I'm not as high as others on gallagher though. I don't know how he can keep playing the way he has without his body just eventually breaking down.
EDIT: Someone mentionned Tinordi above.. He's definitely someone I'd keep around. His value in a trade probably isn't good enough to be worth it.
