Cameron Askew.

HMs to Beauvillier and Nicolas Roy.

Strong possibility. It'll be harder to land impact euros with the new rules though. They just made a difficult draft even more challenging.

I'll go with a long shot an call Sprong, even tho i dont think he will have it.

Askew have good chance, but just like a previous person said probably a new euro.

btw i dont know what gagné is doing on that list haha

If they pair Sprong with LaPlante then I think he has a definite shot at it.

Went through last year's draft and he was one of the first forwards ,who didn't play last season taken. He had a real good camp in Moncton and will be a year older than some of the higher 2013 draftees. He'll also be surrounded by a good offensive group in Victoriaville. I don't think he'll win it , but I think he'll have a good year and surprise. He's a big body , goal scorer with a nose for the net. Has great hands , good vison and high hockey IQ.

1. Halifax' #6 euro
2. Halifax' #12 euro
3. Whoever the Moose drafted
4. Whoever the Moose pick-up
5. Jack Eichel

On the real, Noel or Roy wherever he plays.

It's a long shot but you could add Jérémy Roy. He wasn't far from Beauvilier in terms of production last season, as a D. And he'll have a smoother transition since he's bigger and stronger.

He also actually outscored most of the names mentioned here last season in the 'Q MAAA...

J.Roy has a shot, but it's not likely IMO.

Except for the Euros, I could see a guy like Nicholas Blanchard winning the title.

You are starting back where you left, don't you!

The 16 YOs this season are reportedly nothing compared to the class of MacKinnon/Drouin/Duclair/Erne.
It is not at all far fetched to see a 17YO from midget taking the lead on them.

I have nothing against Beauvillier/Roys/Sprong, etc, but a guy like Blanchard could very well outscore them next season.

Also some are inserting these 16 YOs already on their respective team's first line with 19-20 YOs....
I don't think someone of this class will walk with a 60-70 points season just yet.

Yup, Gagné won't win the rookie scoring race but he has all the tools to develop into a top-2 rounds prospect for the 2015 NHL entry draft (late 96).

I voted Roy but shocked Noel has 6 votes while Beauvilier has none.

Same here. I think it has a lot to do with his supporting cast , although Saint John won't be much better..

In fact Shawi might have a slightly better team at this point IMO. Not a huge difference either way.

I've mentioned this to you before, but Kyle Farrell had a pair of these NSMAAA Scoring Titles you're putting so much stock in, including one at 15 years old.

Nothing in this league makes me happier to see NS kids do well, but give him some breathing room. If he hits 30 points this year as a 1996 you should be over the moon.

What I am mentioning here is that some posters see already guys like Roy and Sprong as rookie of the year at 16 but fail to see the potential of some 17 YOs.
Don't you remember Patrice Bergeron who joined the Q at 17?

There will be surprises and I doubt this year's 16 YOs class is at the same level as the 1991 one.

That's fine but if I were you , I'd use someone a little more intriguing that Blanchard to make a point..
