Last two minutes of Bruins/Hawks game 6. That was like LOTR: Return of the King, where the ghost army comes out of nowhere and slays everyone. Outside of the Blackhawks and their few fans, that arena was like a tomb... won't ever forget that.
Game 6 against the Bruins, game 7 against the Red Wings, and game 5 against the Kings.
What he said, plus game 6 against the Red Wings, game 1 against the Bruins, game 2 against the Kings. Why game 2? It was THAT game for me, where afterwards you ask yourself "is this team going all the way?"
Seeing people put Quick at this godly status (none of this is any offense to him) and then seeing the Hawks put him on the bench was eye-opening for me, to say the least.
Game 1 against Minny was pretty memorable, as well
True. Montreal had only three or four bad games throughout the season where they totally went off script. That was one of 'em. A waste of time, IMO.
Speaking as a general hockey fan (nothing to do with the Habs) I never got the fascination with games where the fights overshadow the hockey. I find those games to be the most boring and worst-played, even though I realize some people like that style.
Probably this one for me. Game 4, Leafs and Bruins. Maybe not the most memorable in the series, and it wasn't an elimination game. But man, I think both fanbases can agree that it was some GREAT hockey. The 2nd period was phenomenal, the third even better, and the OT was back and forth. ACC was buzzing as well.
There were many fantastic games throughout these playoffs. The four I think of immediately, though, when reflecting on these past two months are:
Eastern Conference Quarterfinal: Boston vs Toronto, Game 7.
Western Conference Semifinal: Chicago vs Detroit, Game 7.
Stanley Cup Final: Boston vs Chicago, Game 1.
Stanley Cup Final: Boston vs Chicago Game 6.
Western Conference Final: LA vs Chicago, Game 5.
