PHX 12th Overall

Just interested in what other teams would offer for the Yotes 1st round pick. I'd rather not move down in this draft, but if both Domi and Shinkaruk are off the board at 12 (and there is a chance of that happening), I'm indifferent to Horvat/Wennberg/Lazar and 12 and would consider either moving down in the 1st in the hope to acquire some nice assets or even perhaps trading the pick for a young forward with upside.

Anyways, fire away HFers. :-)

Nicklas Jensen + 24?

Would consider that if Ristolainen is on the board.

Before the season started, nearly 100% of Canucks fans would not even include Jensen in a deal for Loui Eriksson, did something drastic happen?

Not really. I'm just really high on Ristolainen.

I think most Canucks fans wouldn't offer that, though.

Also, I'd have offered Jensen for Eriksson pretty easily before the season started as well.

Hell no! Not for 12!

What part of we lack quality prospects don't you understand? We are giving three away for one who might be marginally better. Ugh, can't wait for this draft to start so these ridiculous proposals end.

Ummm, you're more than entitled to your opinion but it is just your opinion; 3 other Habs fans in here seem to think it would be OK, if the right prospect was available.

We do lack quality prospects in a couple of areas (goal & LW) in all honesty.

Seriously, no effing way the Yotes are taking on Miller's contract. Nothing personal Sabres fans.

If the JETS are in fact looking to move on from Burmistrov, I may consider it. The rumors from March/April were denied, but who knows if there is some truth.

I'd hate to give up a 21 year old who has an abundance of skill and is ALREADY awesome defensively for just a pick because you just never know with 17 year old kids. Maybe a small plus could be added like #42 or a prospect like Brown or Szwarz.

With Burmi, we already know he's at worst a solid defensively sound 3rd line center/winger who can PK and is not afraid of body contact as he usually initiates it. He just needs to be given more of a chance playing with better players. I fully expect within the next 2 seasons, Burmi will become more of an offensive contributor as he matures.

Problem being, I'd want #12 if Domi were still on the board. I'd love for the JETS to land two of Domi, Wennberg, Gauthier, Zadorov or Ristolainen.

Miller is probably an appealing piece for a team mounting a deep playoff run next season. But with Maloney's ability to go off the grid and get goalies for cheap that can be molded into Vezina-quality netminders under Sean Burke's tutelage and our system defense, there's really no incentive for us to move an asset like the 12th for 1 year of Miller. Especially when we have continuing talent issues at forward.

I know there is a Yotes HFer who'd be on board with doing a straight-up swap with the 12th and Burmi. I'm not exactly quite on board with that at this point; I do think Burmistrov is a very good two-way talent who's development has been stunted by Thrashers/Jets management, but right now I'd rather give up our 2014th 1st than this year's. Which probably would be rejected by Winnipeg (understandably so).

We really are. Who do we have coming up the pipeline up front? Kristo and Collberg....thats it. By all means though, replace 3 great prospects with one excellent one. While we are at it I think we should trade Patches, Pleks and Eller for Getzlaf. I mean they are good but Getzlaf is amazing! .

They should draft Wennberg and call it a day. He's a player I could see sneaking into the top 10

I'm kinda meh personally on Wennberg; also, not sure if he'll stay at center in the NHL.

32 + ... what? What would Phoenix need from Colorado? If you'd fall that far.
