That's an excellent point. Definitely a locker room shakeup type of move.

Steal. Jones is overpaid and disappointing, he has no value at all. O'Brien isn't a great D, is value is almost none. Tanguay had a perfect contract; he was probably worth a 2nd + a 3rd pick at the draft. Feaster lol fail.

Wow, happy with this.

Avs desperately needed a veteran in the top 6 and Tanguay is that. Sarich can be the third pairing defender and also provides some leadership.

Impressed with Roy and Sakic's first deal.

soo.. what do the lines become?

I think my favorite combination is (assuming we take Mackinnon):

McGinn - Duchene - Parenteau
Landeskog - Stastny - Downie
Tanguay - O'Reilly - Mackinnon
Olver - Mitchell - Bordeleau
McCleod

Wilson - EJ
Hejda - Barrie
Hunwick - Sarich
Zanon

could switch Lando and McGinn, but i think that's a nice mix.. although a lot will still happen in the coming months. Nice first move for our new front office though, very encouraging.

I saw in the other thread you could be a little bias though

But I do too. Got rid of some cancer and salary and got experience and a cult legend of the Avs.

Well I think the Avs will have to move someone... I'm assuming Kobasew isn't getting re-signed.

Somehow I feel we both acquired the better players and the cheaper players. I like that.

So does Tanguay take the cursed number or rock #40 like he did when he broke in.
