I actually lol'd hard at this

I hope we can trade him around deadline time or what not. Not a player you have in your top six whatsoever. Maybe a 7th tops.

I'm hoping that Philip Larsen can come back soon, he is a bright piece on the back end and provides us with a lot of mobility. Is anyone here aware of when he might be coming back? As a fan it's hard to see the team facing injuries like this.

Larsen paired with a solid, big, stay at home D wou;d be great. He's underrated due to who we have to play him with.

I doubt we see him before the Olympics. No trade value for a d-man with a back injury who can't play with any consistency in his own zone.

Did you really like him fumbling the puck each PP?

We seem to have that in spades from our D or whoever stands back there. Some of it could be bad ice as well at Rexall.

What I like about Larsen is his jetspeed transtion and carrying puck game. he comes out of zone like shot out of a cannon. lots of speed and good making some passes on the rush.
Good transition player I think.

I like Larsen. I'd take him as a 5-6 paired with a bigger more physical D (no we don't have one of those either) and lots of PP time. But then Eakins likes 5 forwards on the PP...vs Toews.

Larsen is a better version of J. Schultz imo. One of them need to go.

I didn't actually notice he was gone.

Must not have missed him putting point shots into the netting.

When he comes back he'll probably be sent to OKC. Still one of my favorites though, I'd totally get a Larsen Oilers jersey.

He's a puck losing machine on the point, on a PP. Soft as hell in his own zone. But, boy is he a smooth skater!

Hopefully we can just put him on waivers before the trade deadline so that someone else can pick up his rights.

We didn't need to get anything for Horcoff but we got Larsen which is pretty much nothing.

haha, I can see arguments either way honestly but, my preference would be Larsen. He has the speed I like for breaking out of our zone and for getting back into position.

Regardless of which way you lean, Schultz or Larsen, they're the same style of player and neither of them plays great defense.

I think we can agree that one of them needs to go

Why don't you walk down the hallway and ask MacT yourself? Or do you just call his extension?

Fixed that for you. Does not belong on the PP until he can pick his head up.

Not absolving Jultz of anything here, but man oh man Larssen was driving me crazy with his penchant for getting shots blocked on the PP.

Well, like I said I can see arguments for both sides.

Both those players have some pretty serious flaws, I just like Larsen's transition game more than I like J. Schultz's game on the PP.

I heard he is 'faking' his injury ... thinking it would be best to stay out of this lineup for a year or three.
