It's amusing when people act like the Flyers haven't got great value from their trades under Holmgren.

@D_LEED: Flyers having chats with: Calgary, St. Louis, Edmonton, Carolina, among others.

Furthur proof this guy is just a tool and a fanboy. Hes just putting all these teams out there meanwhile earlier today theyve all been brought up by multiple insiders. I could of told you this and I dont claim to have a "source".

That's a lot better than "Holmgren has a lot of balls in the air", from a journalist no less.

I would hope that every team's GM is having lots of talks tonight, as this is the busiest time of the year for them. FA and draft coming up.

No thanks, Giodarno isn't enough of an upgrade over any of our dmen to make it worthwhile losing one of our young players. Timonen, Streit, Schenn, Coburn, Grossmann, Meszaros...all are making over 3.5 million, Gio doesn't fit into this.

For the Hawks thats Sharp.
For the Kings thats Richards cause Carter is Colombus, Williams is Car and Gagne is TB.
For Boston nothing.

It must be fun to be a Flyers or Maple Leafs fans.
All those talks about your gm discussing with other teams.

Here in Montreal......... Nothing seems to be on the way.

I told my buddy that I would surprised if the Flyers hadn't made some sort of move before the draft Sunday. This weekend literally reeks of a Flyers trade.

Really? I thought the last moves were to get better chemistry. Getting the Isles captain in the locker room is not much of a risk too. Plus paying Bryz to leave.

I would keep trying. (cue Vezina joke)

Not sure Giordano's contract status, but IMO he's the most valuable piece in all those offers.

Super underrated player. He'd be at worst Philly's #3 dman (Timonen and Streit).

Assuming the mentioned Schenn was Luke.

For Read+ (Ufa next summer) I think it's something Philly would be silly to turn down and something Calgary is very unlikely to do.

Not a Flames fan either.

Lack of patience is one of the Flyers biggest problems, too much turnover. Look at the teams that have won consistently like NJ, Det, Pitt, Chi, they let their young guys devlelop in the minors/junior and add the star player occasionally, while adding good intangible guys.

It must be fun that Holmgren gets to play a real life version of NHL 14 every year, and this coming from a Flyers fan.

I still think Miller/Sekera n Couturier deal as the basis is going to be worked out, balance as needed...players/picks/salary

Makes too much sense addressing both teams long term needs.

Holmgren is the most entertaining GM in the game, hands down.

How does trading a 20 year old center with a high ceiling for a 33 year old goaltender and a 27 year old 6th defenseman address our long term needs in anyway?

Our team is built on youth right now. Miller is a great goalie, but were not looking to get older.
