Huge trade in the works. Boston and Dallas close on a deal sending Tyler Seguin to Stars for Loui Eriksson. Other parts involved as well.

Send a message via AIM to bigplay41*
Seguin could be in our division! Stars IMO could be a really big sleeper this year.

Really interested to see what else is part of the Seguin/Eriksson deal. I wonder if Boston will offload some more salary here?

I'd rather play against Seguin than Eriksson to be honest. Wonder who adds in this deal? Seguin has all the potential, but Loui is on a sweetheart of a deal.

Trade is bigger than Seguin for Eriksson. Draft picks to Boston? Prospects? Working on details.

As i said...multiple pieces to Seguin-Eriksson deal. Other players could be involved as well.
Can't wait to find out the rest. Love this trade, straight up hockey deal. Seguin needs to get it together but he's got the tools. Eriksson is an elite talent in the prime of his career.

Well, if Chevy had interest in Peverley...

Believe Peverley may be in that Dallas/Boston deal as well.

Hearing DAL-BOS is a 5-player deal.

And...

If Rich Peverley is in the proposed #Bruins #Stars deal, guessing the #NHLJets will be disappointed. I think he was on their radar

Ken Wiebe ‏@WiebeSunSports 22s

Aside from versatility of being able to play a Top-6 or bottom-6 role, Peverley can play C/RW, also played for Claude Noel in Milwaukee #AHL

Just saw this on twitter:

Quote:
Joe Haggerty ‏@HackswithHaggs 1h
Peter Chiarelli very blunt abt Tyler Seguin: "He needs to focus all his mind and energy on hockey. He needs to be a better pro" #BruinsTalk

Seems like there is more going on with Seguin than just his poor performance on the ice

Gutsy move by Dallas to give up a talented class act on a great contract for Seguin who has some growing up to do. Never great when your GM calls you out publically saying you need to focus.

The one thing I will say in Seguin's favor is Recchi played with him in Boston and would be very aware of everything you need to know about him and he is an advisor to Dallas so they will be buying with eyes wide open.

This is what makes deals so tough to do. Chevy might have been close to a deal on Pevs then boom goes the trap door.

Would be nice to see a legit blockbuster for sure, honestly think this is fantastic for both teams. My biggest problem with it is that Dallas is a division rival now

I'm told there are 7 pieces to the Seguin-Eriksson trade. 3 prospects moving from Stars. 4 players total.

Well, Joe Morrow didn't last long in Dallas from the Brenden Morrow trade.

Quote:
Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 4m

Joe Morrow is believed to be one of the pieces going from DAL to BOS. Also, perhaps Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser. Looking for
Quote:
Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun 2m

Loui Eriksson agreed to waive his NTC a few hours ago
Quote:
Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger 52s

Seguin and Peverley for sure going to Stars.
Quote:
Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 42s

Not confirmed but names mentioned as POSSIBLE in BOS-DAL incl Seguin, Peverley, Ryan Button, Eriksson, Reilly Smith, Matt Fraser, Joe Morrow

So, so far we are being told,
To Boston: Loui Eriksson + Joe Morrow + Reilly Smith + Matt Fraser

To Dallas: Tyler Seguin + Rich Peverley + Ryan Button

Really good for Boston given Seguin's maturity problems.
