Lotsa people panning this one for Dallas which i don't get..

I like this for Dallas a lot, though I think both teams should come outta this one pretty happy.

For where Boston is in it's development cycle this makes sense. Have a couple more kicks at the can. However, they are mortgaging the future a bit with this deal.

With a kid like Seguin, maturity issues will sort themselves out most likely and he is going to become a heck of a player.

I agree.

I also just really like Eriksson.

Eriksson is an incredible get for Boston, and the trade makes a ton of sense for them for where they are in terms of being contenders, but this is a really good deal for Dallas too. They got a 21 year old center with all-star potential without having to give up any of their top prospects.

I just don't understand anyone saying either team didn't make out pretty well, this is like the definition of a win-win to me.

Anyone read Grabovski's comments on Carlyle after being bought out?

Obviously super unprofessional and not the smartest things to be saying, but seeing the numbers getting thrown around now its actually insane how Grabovski was used last year in relation to previous years.. Like legitimately put in a situation where it would have been almost impossible to produce any points at all.

I don't think going off in the media was a good thing either, but I don't know if that alone would make me question his character.
Especially in this case when it looks like he really has a point.

Not his fault for scoring drop.

Plus, many here know QoC as I use it a lot. QoT is same idea but it's measuring linemates instead of matchups.

Grabbo's QoT last season was 2nd lowest over all players in the last 6 seasons in the league.
Grabbo's QoC last season was 6th highest of last season in the league.

Horcoff is off to DAL. Believe it's for a draft pick. TBA. Horcoff has a $5.5M cap hit but has 2 yrs remaining at $4M and $3M, respectively.

So who's captain in Edmonton now?

Now Horcoff is traded to the Stars? Dallas is seriously getting better and our new division just got harder today. (Edit. not that he is that good anymore, but its been quite the day for Dallas)

C'mon Chevy catch up to the others and make some deals.

Dallas moved an asset to get someone to play with Jaime Benn for a long time. We don't have that kind of luxury. The only piece we have that would land Seguin is the player we would want Seguin to play with for the future.

What would a comparable trade have been involving us for Seguin, to what Dallas gave up?
