Kulikov to Philadelphia

Understandably so, Panther fans would ask for Couturier or Schenn. Which one would they prefer? I would think that Couturier would be traded before Schenn, but if Couturier is traded, the 3C spot is void. Schenn is not a 3C, Couturier fits that bill better.

Would Panther fans be more interested in Schenn or Couturier? Schenn is most likely moving to wing, but from my understanding prefers center

Since they took Barkov I don't really see them being super keen on trading their best Dman for another center.

If they took Jones then maybe I could see a deal working out.

Not a Panthers fan really just an observation.

Don't really see Florida interested in another center, they have prospects for every line.

Florida is lacking a 1C and really even a 2C that's NHL ready.

We have plenty of depth but it seems like unless we acquire someone for this season, we're committing to another lottery selection next season.

But the Panthers aren't ready to be a contender yet. They can wait another year.
And Couturier and Schenn aren't ready for 1C yet either

?-Barkov-?
?-Bjustad-?

Will be a great 1-2 punch down the middle for years.

Barkov, Bjugstad, Shore, and Trocheck. You shouldn't add another young center to that group IMO. In sports if you can't contend, your next best move is getting a top pick. Kulikov is more important to you guys than Schenn or Couturier would be IMO.

the idea behind trading kulikov, i know lots of florida fans dont like the idea, was that jones would be picked #2 and that would leave kulikov "expendable" to get a top6 C. now we drafted barkov so not very interesting anymore

This Panthers fan does not want to trade Kulikov. Even if we had drafted Jones.

ive been a huge fan of b.schenn ever since he got drafted, id love to get him in a kulikov deal IF we cant get 1 of weiss, ribeiro, or bozak. we got barkov on the 2nd, matthias/goc on the 3rd, unless theyre ok with matthias as the #1 for a season or 2.

If Florida had taken Jones, it would make some sense. As it is I don't see the incentive for Tallon.

I never said I would make the trade.

But All four of those players are rookies. Contrary to what you're looking at, the Panthers up the middle have Matthias, Goc, Barkov, and Shore. All guys that - on any given team - would best be suited on a third line to start the season. Now, I don't think Schenn or Couturier are by any means an answer (because they're more of the same)...

This team is a top line center away from contending from a playoff spot, if their young players produce some offense. It's that gaping hole at the 1C that they're missing. Losing Weiss, a good 2C, is going to hurt even more.
