This would be good for them, BUT Trotz and Julien are cut from the same mold...if Julien doesn't trust Seguin as a center, and Trotz doesn't trust Craig Smith as a center, it stands to reason Seguin may not be better off in Nashville.

This kid needs to play center.

I would think that Forsberg would have to be the main piece going back. No way I move Jones for Seguin though. No knock on Seguin.

I would think a 2014 1st and either Forsberg or Klein is fair for both teams.

I think that is fair value for both teams. I don't see Nashville getting another top 5 pick. I'd estimate it being around the middle of the 1st. And they send either Klein or Forsberg too. Klein is very underrated, but with Weber-Jones-Josi Nashville can afford it imo. Nashville is very good at drafting and developing defenseman, so I'm sure they could fill Klein's spot. If not Klein, than Forsberg. Look, Nashville isn't going to trade of their top 3 stud d-men, and they really don't have many asset's to offer offensively, so if they want Seguin they are gonna have to give something big up.

if boston is serious about taking offers i have to imagine it would be near a one for one swap of talent, and not a dime and two nickels.......

Seguin is always partying at Nashville North so he'd probably be ecstatic

No Rinne/Weber/Jones/Josi.

Left with Forsberg + 2014 1st + Klein which is a pretty damn good deal.

really? forsberg and ellis wouldnt interest you? saves a lot of cash, can add another guy through free agency and have a guy in forsberg who could come in immediately and contribute...i would consider those two guys plus another piece such as a mid level prospect or pick

Weber would defeat the purpose of Boston getting rid of him, Weber's cap hit is higher.

not at the expense of Seguin. I would rather keep the 21 year old former #2 overall pick

fair enough, but draft position doesnt really matter...forsberg was rated 2nd overall at one point as well and fell to the caps. ellis is also a highly touted young dman with bigger upside than anyone on boston's dmen outside of hamilton...it would be a very good start i would think...its the kind of return i would hope for if seguin was moved anyways...

Forsberg+Ellis+moderate asset such as 3rd rounder/Budish would be my offer.

That being said I'm not sold on Seguin after seeing his GM call him out. There is nothing wrong with a player partying or having a life outside of hockey but when you are living such an unbalanced life that your own GM calls you out in the media that says something right there. One has to wonder how much desire he really has to be the best player he can be.

I wouldn't touch Forsberg and Ellis.

Forsberg is a good player, but a LW, and the Bruins are loaded at LW with guys signed for 2-3 more years. (Lucic, Marchand, Soderberg)

Ellis certainly has talent, but I think he is a terrible fit on a Bruins blueline that now has Krug establishing himself back there (and Krug is younger). I just can't see the Bruins skating 2 tiny defencemen

Zach Budish would make more sense from a Bruins standpoint, but he strikes me as a 3rd piece to a deal type of guy, not a huge piece

draft status aside, those two are relatively unknown assests. Forsberg as 0 nhl games correct? Ellis maybe a handful?

the point is if we trade Seguin it will be for an overpayment
