An all too true Freudian slip.

I like how the news comes from Webs himself. Let's get on that, Sabres PR

Gotta love that the Sabres are one of the few teams who don't release financial #s only term.

As for his cap hit, 3/6? 2.0 is fair imo

Just in case you want a second source, Otter tweeted it, too

Loved the way he played when he got the chance at the end of the year. Happy about this move as we do not have to many D man in the chain that possess that 5, 6 Shutdown role. I also think having Ott on the team helps the overall team chemistry and makes him play every shift a little harder. Nothing like a best friend motivating you while on the ice and on the bench!

Hope he keeps what he did last season going. Wonder what the hit is. I'm sure it's reasonable.

He was quite good down the stretch, and a solid, physical stay-at-homer is welcome any time. I think having Ott around really helped motivate him.

I'm too lazy to look it up...does three years take him to UFA?

Not much commitment regardless of what the salary could possibly be. At worst he's a solid #7 with McNabb/Ruhwedel playing over him.

What exactly aren't you sold on? Consistency?

I think he's developed into a serviceable bottom-pairing option.

Very good signing. I was expecting an AAV of 2.25-plus.

If he continues to play like he did in this shortened season, I think it's a steal. If he continues to lead, I think it's more of a steal.

Fantastic deal. I figured it'd be $6M over 3 years.

REALLY good deal for a guy who could become a top 4 leader over the course of the contract.

I'm really rooting for the Mike. I hope this re-sign motivates the crap out of him and he has a stellar season.
