Yeah, but the general feeling is that Chavira will not decide, on his own, to expel the Coyotes. He would never make it out of the building.

Oh yeah, for those that don't know:

The team will be rebranded the Arizona Coyotes, if this gets approved.

I'm pretty excited for this saga to be revisited in the next 5 years.

I have nothing against the Coyotes, or their fans, but at what point does the NHL realize this isn't going to work and pull the plug on Phoenix? I don't see how they can keep doing this whole thing year after year while the Coyotes continue to lose money and have poor attendance.

Who's up for making a roadtrip to Arizona to turn the Kings away game into a home game...I'll bring the fog horn if someone brings the spotlight for the Goals.

They, in a sense, tried to just now. If Glendale didn't accept the deal they had on the table, they were gone. It will fail, but for some reason they don't see to care as long as Glendale is paying a decent portion of it too.

They fought to get the Arizona rebranding, BFD. They should have gotten it rebranded to Glendale Coyotes, then require the team to spell the name cross the front of their jersey, a la Dallas style.

And get 50% of all jersey sales over the next five years. At least they would have gotten another $650 or so that way.

Yay...5 more years of 1-hour flights 3x per year to play division games.

The Coyotes aren't the only doormat in this situation, so are their taxpayers.

So a city in the desert cuts $200k in spending for their fire department, but is banking on $15 million/year?
