9 of 10 GM would have picked Jones or Drouin in our position. But Tallon decided to take what we need, center. Bit risky but i like it.

We said we'd meet with him after the draft. He can't sign until the 5th. No reason to rush it.

Yes, Mac dominated. At the age of 17 he tore up the league. There's trends in the Q. Of course there's a bunch of players who are ahead of him That's silly to think he didn't dominate. There's a reason he went #1, you know...

And your method of downplaying MacKinnon is by bolstering Barkov. That's a weak argument.
I think if you said that he tore up the tournament, your post would be far more accurate.

Before then, I would call it an exaggeration to say he tore up the league.

He was giving the Panthers **** for passing on Jones. A "move that will be regretted for years to come." A team that's "not very deep on defense."

Which is crap because we are pretty deep on defense.

LOL makes Barkov look even better, I have a feeling this was tallon's pick even if Florida had won the lottery.

I'm getting to the point where I'm ok with the Barkov pick now. The feeling I got when the Panthers picked him was like that feeling when you were a kid and for Christmas, you wanted a Super Nintendo but got a Sega Genesis instead. The Sega is still good, but you wanted the Nintendo.

I dont know how you trade Schneider, when you know Luongo does not want to be there? At least reach out and talk to him before moving Schneider. This whole fiasco has been poorly managed since the rumors came out, and now its going to be interesting to see how they handle it.

AHL should do him no better than another year being a star in SM-liiga which is at the same level. I don't think he should or would see more than a cup of coffee in the A.

Although he seems to have an awesome attitude; much lower pay, playing away from home and in a league that a best is half a notch better than his last league shouldn't be that interesting for a guy who is as proven against men as Barkov is.

Avs off the hook for biggest bone headed move(going with a forward). What does Vancouver do with a disgruntled Luongo who wanted out of Vancouver?

Taking into account both his age and the fact that he played significantly less games than the rest of the top scorers, I'd say his play was pretty dominant. Besides the point though, I don't see what stops Mac from being a safer pick based upon leagues alone.

Just your words and again looking too much at pre-rankings.

Barkov jr. Is the real deal!

He played against Barkov in FEL when there was lockout. I watched that game live and he had to face Kyle Turris, Jussi Jokinen and Jason Demers. Barkov stole the show and assisted their all goals when they won 3-1.

I was a bit confused by that. Given that he was bought out, he's technically not under any contract, right? He should be free to sign right away, no?
