All of these players need to be resigned- who gets dealt in the future? Sharp?
It is going up.

If Bickell delivers it won't matter whether it was 3.5 or 4.

I disagree, considering he would have gotten more on the open market. He took a discount for sure, like Oduya.

$3m for Bickell is an overpay. $4m is ludicrous. Can't give guys all this money based on one playoff run.

I'm OK with this. It's funny a lot of fans think everything is overpayment, I think it's about where we can expect and not too bad. As the Cap Limit goes up, it will be better and better. Who know where he will play (all over knowing Q) but I'm certain he's a permanent Top 6 guy now. I'd really like to see 20 goals from him this season as a result.

Good point, but I think it is easier to cross that bridge when we get there... Plus I'm expecting Saad or Morin one of those guys that hits 50 points in a year or two.

A bit more than I wanted. Was hoping it would be 3-3.5 per. Oh well....it's good that we still have a power forward. With Bickell finally finding his mean streak and getting signed...it they can somehow teach Jayes the same, we could have some sick net presence.

$3 million is fair. $4 million is an overpay, but livable. $5 million is a massive overpay.

Overpayment for Bickell, 3M cap hit max is what I would have done. Now we sit back and watch.

Its probably a little overpayment, but I guess I wouldn't let him go over 500k a year. With all the cap dump I really hope the young kids play some and the hawks can pick a up a nice free agent. How awesome would it be to turn Bolland and Frolik into a nice center uprade?

On a line with Toews and Kane...if he goes to the net hard and often...I give him a shot at thirty.

I'm fine with $4 million. Still plenty of cap room to make other moves.

Well he's gotta start somewhere. He tore it up in Rockford this year, but he does need to improve defensively.

Who was the last stanley cup champion without a true #2 centre.

I'm guessing it's the 2013 Chicago Blackhawks, and before that, the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks.

Overpayment or not and I dont think it is considering the open market, the Hawks are size challenged and thats a fact. If anyone thinks the Hawks are going anywhere in furture playoffs with a bunch of midgets, think again.

Some of you apparently have a way better idea of fair value than the Hawks GM apparently. Start sending in your resumes I suppose.

They aren't size challenged though.

As long as he plants himself in front of the net, especially on the PP, I think 20+ goals is definitely attainable.

Glad Stan got him signed!
