I saw the highlights of the game tonight and Green wearing the A. Probably because most of the regulars were out
interesting choice non the less

Personally i like to see the letters on guys like green and players that give a good effort on a regular basis.You shouldn't have to be a star to get a letter,leading through on ice effort or even dressing room leadership should be the key.

The players should decide.

I never liked management deciding who the team captains were...it should be the players electing who they want to represent them on the ice.

As for the Leafs, I defy anyone to say that Sundin isn't worthy of the "C" (well, you can say it, so I guess I defy anyone to back it up) and I think that McCabe and Roberts are good assistants...but really, none of us knows what goes on in the room so it's hard to say.

I will say that any player who whines non-stop about officiating would be a lousy captain, so that might rule out Green or Tucker...

I think it's all right to have a team captain but not really necessary to have an "A" or two stitched on the jerseys of Leafs players.......I think the Leafs players in the dressing all know who their team leaders are.....it's starting to get a bit out of hand when we see different players every game wearing the "A" on their jerseys.......It's almost as if Pat Quinn has a Bingo machine calling out the numbers of the players he feels shoud wear the letter "A" on their jerseys....I guess tonight Travis Green was the lucky one in the Leafs dressing room that yelled out;

BINGO!
